The SIDC is seeking qualified applicants for the following contract positions:
Chief Executive Officer
3. Quality Assurance Manager
The incumbent is responsible for the financial portfolio of the SIDC, ensures compliance with
all financial regulations and provides accounting support services to all departments.
o Manages the financial portfolio of the SIDC so that funds are accurately and efficiently administered
o Acts as the liaison with funding agencies and provides ad-hoc financial information to
Ministries, Bankers and other relevant authorities
o Manages the process of the preparation and dissemination of budgets, forecasts and reports
to all Ministries, Board of Directors, CEO and other relevant authorities as required
o Supervises the preparation and disbursement of all funds and monitors the daily accounting
functions towards maintaining the accuracy of information and records
o Prepares, manages and provides monthly financial status reports for projects for inclusion in
the reporting requirements for the relevant Ministry.
o ACCA Qualified or Equivalent
o 6-10 years' experience in the field of Accounting, with at least 4 years in a managerial position
o Must be familiar with the Trinidad and Tobago government procurement and accounting practices
o Advanced computer literacy and proficient knowledge of Accounting Software Packages (Peachtree).
QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER:
The incumbent is responsible for providing policy advice and recommendations to enhance qual-
ity and food safety standards and practices among stakeholders in the seafood and aquaculture
o Provides technical advice to stakeholders in the industry with a view of improving food
safety and quality assurance standards domestically
o Undertakes surveys and evaluation exercises on quality assurance issues in the domestic
market on an ongoing basis
o Provides technical support, guidance and advice in the preparation of SIDC project documents
especially in relation to the quality assurance aspects of the projects
o Assists with the SIDC's capacity building projects in the area of quality assurance in the
o Prepares reports as required on the projects, studies and new developments in the industry
for the CEO,
members of the Projects Committee of the Board and other staff of the Company as required.
o Degree in Seafood Science, Seafood Technology or Microbiology or a related field
o Post Graduate Diploma in Seafood Processing Technology
o Training & Certification in Quality Assurance of Processing Technology
o 7- 10 years' experience in Seafood Processing Technology and Quality Assurance.

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
The Chief Executive Officer is required to provide advice and guidance to the Board
of Directors, employees and industry stakeholders on contemporary strategies for
developing and growing the sector while leading the transformational change effort
through the company.
o Ensure effective management and leadership of the SIDC through the
formulation and achievements of the Strategic and Business Plans
o Provide guidance on socio-economic market research, strategic planning,
performance and project management - industry and corporate level
o Ensure that the quality of the work and functioning of the company meets sound
business and ethical standards
o Oversee human resource and financial matters, marketing and operations
o Provide sound leadership and direction for the long-term development of the
seafood and aquaculture industries
o Promote industry growth through business development and stakeholder net
o Establish and foster continuous contact and liaison with local, regional and
international agencies in relation to developments and trends in the seafood and
o Post Graduate degree in a Management field from an accredited educational
o Bachelor's Degree in Agri-Business, or related discipline from an accredited
o At least ten (10) years' business development experience in the seafood industry will
be an asset
o Demonstrated experience in the areas of strategic planning and execution,
change management, and business development activities.
