EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST
Engagement of an Operator for a Cafeteria at the Family Court and/or Hall of
Justice of the Judiciary of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago
The Judiciary of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from
qualified caterers wishing to be considered for inclusion in tenders for the award of a contract for the
provision of a full catering cafeteria for two (2) meals (breakfast and small lunches) including non
/or Hall of Justice
premises five (5) days a week for staff, visitors and any others who may perform business with the
Judiciary. The Judiciary will evaluate all EOI submissions and determine a shortlist of companies who will
be invited to bid on a three (3) year performance based contract.

MOSCOW---Russia s ruble currency is hitting an
all-time low as the country s economy struggles
with the combined blows of Western sanctions and
a worldwide fall in oil prices.
In trading on the MICEX exchange, the ruble
dropped to 44.9 to the US dollar late yesterday---
about a three-per cent fall for the day. The ruble has
lost more than 25 per cent this year.
Russia has been hit by sanctions from the United
States and the European Union over the Ukraine
crisis, and prices are falling for oil, a key export.
In addition, the Russian Central Bank said yesterday
it would limit its intervention in the currency markets
to $350 million a day. The bank spent as much as
$3 billion a day in October trying to prop up the

Nato accuses Russia of supplying heavy weapons
to separatist rebels in eastern Ukraine and sending
in "volunteer" soldiers. Russia denies the allegations,
in what has been called Europe s worst security crisis
since the Cold War.
The Portuguese ship that intercepted the Russian
hydrographical vessel yesterday was a corvette sailing
from the southern port of Faro.
Under international law a country s Exclusive Eco-
nomic Zone extends 200 nautical miles from the
coast, most of it in international waters.
There were suspicions recently that a Russian sub-
marine had penetrated the waters near Sweden s
capital Stockholm. Sweden mounted a huge search
operation lasting several days, which proved fruitless.
