We take this opportunity to wish you and
your families a very Happy Christmas 2014
and a successful upcoming year 2015.
When it comes to our client, everything matters
much destruction and even took a few
lives well. But you want to know some-
thing? I m in St Vincent right now to
do it again."
My worst Christmas experience hap-
pened when I was about 13 years old
and I visited New York. I was very
excited and looking forward to a white
Christmas and all that comes with one.
I was so happy because I got to go
ice skating at the Rockefeller Centre
at Times Square and a lot of other
tourist-type stuff. At the end of the
day we went Christmas shopping until
we were beat and stayed up wrapping
gifts for the entire family.
Christmas morning, lo and behold,
no one had thought to buy any gift for
me and it just made me felt unloved
My best experience was much later
in life when I was able to return home
from working in Japan and surprise my
two sons. It was wonderful to see the
look on their faces and I remember
that we all cried. It brought us together
in love as a family because I had been
gone a while and I wasn t sure that I
would have made it home.
I could clearly recall my best Christ-
mas. It was the year I received my new
PS2. I was only 13 years old at the time
and for months I dreamt of having my
own game console. It was a real joy to
actually get one for Christmas. My
worst Christmas, however, was just
last year because it was the family s
first Christmas without my cousin who
died the October prior.
I ve never had a bad Christmas but
the best one I had was the first time
I heard parang live. I remember being
a child and my uncle-in-law and his
band came early a Christmas morning
and I remember another one where I
left home at midnight to parang with
a group I joined.
My worst experience is easy to
remember. It was my first Christmas
in the US. It was cold and snowing and
I realised it s not a holiday.
I think all my Christmases when I
was home in T&T were great. Even
now I remember cleaning the house
when I didn t want to but I wouldn t
mind doing it now to parang and of
course my favourite Christamas expe-
rience is eating sweetbread and ham.
To this day it s the only thing I eat on
Every Christmas is a good one for
me because my family is very tradi-
tional. We are awakened on Christmas
morning at 5 o clock by the sound of
parang and then we eat pastelles
wrapped in the fig leaf, paime is also
served and we wash it down with orig-
inal boiled chocolate.

The hits keep coming for Sony.
The release of The Interview is

Washington is bad for business,
according to leaked e-mails

According to correspondence
between an unnamed producer
and Sony chairman Michael Lyn-
ton, the two-time Oscar winner
should not be cast in big-budget
films that will play overseas
because the "racist" international
audience will not accept a black
actor in a leading role.
The e-mails, which included
advice to refrain from casting
Washington in films that depended
upon big overseas box office num-
bers, were sent soon after Sony
released Washington s latest film
The producer, who sent the e-
mail said he or she hoped the
incredible statement wasn t "inap-
propriate or provocative."
"No, I am not saying The
Equalizer should not have been
made or that African American
actors should not have been used
(I personally think Denzel is the
best actor of his generation)," the
producer wrote. "Casting him is
saying we re OK with a double if
the picture works," the producer
wrote, using a baseball analogy.
"He s reliable at the domestic
[box office], safe, but has not had
a huge success in years."
The Equalizer grossed $191 mil-
lion at theatres worldwide, with
47 per cent of the ticket sales
coming from outside of the United
States---a figure, the producer says,
would have been higher were it
not for Washington s race.
"I believe that the international
motion picture audience is racist
---in general pictures with an
African-American lead don t play
well overseas," the producer wrote.
Despite the seemingly racist
tone of e-mails between execu-
tives, producers and Sony Pictures
co-chairman Amy Pascal, stars
have been stepping up to vocalise
their support of the embattled
Among those who Pascal can
count on in her corner are Tyler
Perry and John Singleton.

No word yet on why the Broth-

those same values."
