Many of us wish we
had a crystal ball that
would show us the
right career choice
to make, but that is
only an illusion. The
answers are already
within us, but we need to take a journey to
discover the path to choose.
To help you get started on this journey is a
tool known as Career Driver Online; an assess-
ment to help you discover your skills set. It will
help you ascertain the your strong skills and
those you need to develop. This career assess-
ment test can help you plan your first career,
consider a career change or advance your career.

Career Driver Online assessment will take
approximately 20 to 30 minutes to complete
and will test your strengths in 60 skills within
six broad competencies.
1. Communication: within this competency
you will be tested in how you speak and interact
in a group setting. Your ability to listen, negotiate,
persuade and sell yourself. You will also be able
to determine how well you can write, interview
and consult with people.
2. Management/ Leadership: the skills you
will be rated in this category include your ability
to build a team, set goals for the yourself and
the team, lead your team, coach teammates,
co-ordinate, plan and implement the goals,
make critical decisions and manage projects.
3. Relationship: would you like to find out
whether you can train and facilitate groups,
provide support, resolve conflicts and demonstrate empa-
thy towards others? Of course, we all have a need to
build great relationships with those we interact with,
weather professionally or on a personal level.
4. Creative: creativity is highly demanded in today s
workplaces and if you are searching for a career that
requires your creative juices to be high, then you need
to know if you are highly intuitive, can visualise, create
images, brainstorm and demonstrate foresight.
5. Analytical: if you want to solve problems, manage
data, research, analyse, evaluate, estimate, compute,
forecast and budget then you need to have a high rating
in these skills set.
6. Physical/technical: the skills that will be tested
includes observation, inspect|test, body coordination,
repair, install, operate equipment, renovate, hand dexterity,
build and draw.
Once you have completed the assessment, your report
will provide an overview of how you have scored in all
Skill Road Map outlines your four strongest skills in
Travel Guides section will provide you with suggested
career and educational options to explore.

you need to work on and those that you should just avoid

a wide range of resources to assist clients in self-assessment
and how to integrate results; exploring careers and edu-
This assessment will help individuals who are at four
different roads in their life:
• Career Launchers: someone who is entering the job
market for the first time and want to find out what
knowledge of skills they have. This will assist in targeting
areas to volunteer, task, job functions and development
• Career Transitioners: those seeking to make a career
change, you will be able to identify the type of change
that is needed. Evaluate skills to check for alignment
with job function and the ability to spot new possibilities
• Career Advancers: people who feel the need to take
their career a step further will find this assessment very
helpful. These people can use the results to identify the
right function/role, skills gaps and plan steps to progress
in their career.
• Job Seekers: targeting your skills and experience to
a particular job opening can be very competitive at times.
The results will provide powerful language for describing
your strengths in resumes, cover letters, and interviews.
Career Driver Online Assessment can also be used by
organisations to assist employees in planning and managing
their careers. Employers can identify their greatest strengths
and preferences and leverage their skills set in their current
or future position. This will add value to the organisations
by motivating employees to perform at their best, which
will increase productivity levels.
