INVITATION TO TENDER

In accordance with C.T.B. Ordinance Regulation 12/2 (a) and Legal Notice #234 as amended which falls under
the Special Ministerial Tenders Committees' Limit, tenders are invited for Construction Works under the
Development Programme 2014/2015 for the following projects:

Prospective Tenderers who wish to bid must be a Registered Contractor with the Corporation whose name
appears on the List of Contractors. (All Petty Contractors must be approved by the Minister of Finance,
Director of Contracts, Circular Memorandum 2/1/16 dated 12/03/1997).
Tender documents may be perused and can be obtained at the Tenders Department during the hours of 9:00
a.m. to 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.at a non-refundable cost of $1,000.00 per package (payable by certified cheques
and linx at the Corporation. A cash deposit can be made at the First Citizen Bank upon a voucher from the
Chaguanas Borough Corporation).
A Public Notice, an Invitation to Tender along with a listing of all Registered Contractors will be placed
at information desk of the New Administrative Building.
Tenders must be accompanied by an original Valid Income Tax and Value Added Tax Clearance Certificates
issued by the Board of Inland Revenue and date not more than (6) six months prior to the closing date of the
tender. Tenders must also be accompanied by an original National Insurance Compliance Certificate. All other
instructions are attached to the tender packages.

Superintendent, Chaguanas Borough Corporation, Ministry of Local Government at telephone number 671-
1174 ext. 229.
A pre-tender meeting followed by a site visit will be held on Wednesday 6th May, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the
Conference Room of the Chaguanas Borough Corporation.
Tenders will be closed on Wednesday 13th May, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. Tender documents are to be deposit-
ed in the White Tender Box located at the Tenders Department of the New Administrative Building,
Chaguanas Borough Corporation.
Tenders will be publicly opened shortly thereafter at the Corporation's Conference Room. The Tenderer
or his representative may be present at the opening.
Late Tenders will not be considered under any circumstances. The Committee does not bind itself to
accept the lowest or any other tender. The Committee reserves the right to cancel the bidding process I its
entirety or even partially without defraying any cost incurred by any firm in submitting their tender.

Islamist rebels in Syria have taken over the key
north-western town of Jisr al-Shughur, activists
It was the last major town under government con-
trol in Idlib province. Correspondents say it may give
rebels a route to the ruling elite's heartland.
The Islamist forces, including the al-Qaeda-affil-
iated al-Nusra Front, began the assault on Thurs-

migrants from a vessel in the Mediterranean, while
