TO EMPLOY THE FOLLOWING PERSONNEL:
Plan and organize the fleet in accordance with statutory, regulatory and classification
society requirements, company policies and commercial commitments, and liaise
with other departments, regulatory bodies, classification societies and customers.
Monitor the execution of the planned maintenance program on board the vessels
though review of routine ship's reports.
In conjunction with the Health and Safety Department, review safety and other
routine reports submitted from the vessels.
In conjunction with the Management Systems Compliance department to
ensure that safety, environmental and security issues are dealt with effectively
and in a timely fashion.
Plan, arrange and monitor the progress of vessel dry dockings, refits and un-
scheduled repairs in accordance with the established company procedures and
ensure that relevant records are maintained.
Work closely with key customer contacts to coordinate and communicate
progress on key technical projects, issues and effectively utilize port time for the
execution of vessel maintenance.
Management of vessel operations budgeting, forecasting and cost management.
Act as company representative in relation to the execution of the Charter party
Qualifications must include:
A minimum of 10 years' experience in a similar Operations Management position
or Senior Marine Professional position within the Marine sector.
A minimum of 5 years direct experience working with modern ASD tugs.
A minimum of 5 years direct experience working in an LNG terminal environment.
A minimum of 8 years work experience with Caterpillar 3516 series engines.
Completion of post secondary education is a requirement; specifically applicants
with an educational background in Marine Engineering or Navigation
A valid Master 500 T, NC certificate of Competency
Six Sigma experience considered an asset
Demonstrated experience working with an recognized quality system, experience
with the Irving management system considered an asset
Possess a high commitment to customer service and safe working practices
Strong financial acumen.
Demonstrated proficiency using Vessel/Maintenance management system. NS5
experience would be considered a definite asset.
Ability to travel internationally.

cyclist Akil Campbell was the
star on the opening night of
the National Track Cycling
Championships at the Arima
Velodrome, on Friday night.
In the elite men s 4km team
pursuit, Campbell, along with
Varun Maharajh, Barry Luces
and Jovian Gomez, broke the
national and track record in the
event to win gold in a time of
4:42.696. Campbell, now 19,
then defeated Maharajh (silver)
and Gomez (bronze) to grab
gold in the elite men s scratch
In the junior women s team
sprint, Kollyn St George had to
battle against her national jun-
ior teammates Keiana Lester
and Teniel Campbell. St George
along with her younger sister
Jhordan won gold in 38.926
seconds, narrowly ahead of
Lester and Campbell in 38.958.

Naps in T20 final
Opening batsman Jonathan Hirst
slammed an aggressive century to guide
Fatima into the final of the Powergen
Secondary Schools Intercol T20 compe-
tition, with a 29-run win over Trinity
East at the National Cricket Centre in
Couva, on Friday night.
Hirst struck 102 off 63 balls to lead Fatima
to a competitive 161/4 batting first. Hirst,
who cracked nine fours and five sixes, was
ably supported by Amir Jangoo who con-
tributed 45. Keagan Simmons was the best
bowler for Trinity East grabbing 2/35 in
In reply, Trinity was dismissed for 132 in
19.4 overs. Simmons top-scored with 50,
while fellow opener Brandon Sooklal pitched
in with 41 to give Trinity a positive start.
However, the Trinity middle and lower order
did not offer any resistance. Jean-Paul Rocke
took 3/24 in four overs, Sean Persaud picked
up 2/33 and Hirst snatched 2/10.
Naparima, which defeated Barrackpore
West by seven wickets in the first semifinal
on Thursday, will face Fatima in the final
at Guaracara Park on Friday, from 6 pm.
Naparima is aiming for its second title
this season, after the southerners finished
ahead of Fatima to win the premiership 50-
over league crown.
