What is the MTEST Edu-ID Card?
The MTEST Edu-ID card is outfitted with business intelligence capabilities to improve the accuracy
and efficiency of enrollment queries and data analysis to aid policy decision making. The student
enrollment system will be the primary source to uniquely identify students who are nationals of Trini-
dad and Tobago and to track the programmes they are registered at the Tertiary Level Institutions
MTEST’s vision for this solution is to provide a unified system to all students who will benefit from a
downstream of services offered by the Ministry and its subsidiary agencies. These services will be
tracked and monitored by the Ministry to ensure proper use and facilitate policy decision making to
improve existing services and promote new services.
Who is eligible?
The MTEST Edu-ID card will only be issued to bonafide students of the tertiary education sector,
both part-time and full-time students, and will start with UTT students with effect from August 1st
How do we protect your data?
In order to ensure high standards of data privacy and security, the MTEST encrypts both private and
non-confidential data in the MTEST database. The MTEST also encrypts its internet services by
using data transmission protocols such as the Secure Socket Layer protocol.
What is the registration process?
1. Visit the Edu-ID registration site https://eduid.gov.tt/Pages/registration.aspx
2. Complete the online registration form including uploading your photo and at least one form of ID.

notifications to you related to MTEST matters e.g. GATE etc)
4. After registration you will receive a confirmation email with your Registration Number. Please
proceed to a TTConnect Service Centre from August 10th 2015 to complete the Verification
Process within 90 days of your online registration. Ensure you have a second form of ID if this
wasn’t supplied during Online Registration and have your Registration Number available during
Verification. After Verification you will then receive your Edu-ID card and be fully registered.
