Tenders are invited for the Construction of the Ration Room at the Golden Grove Prison, Arouca, Ministry
Tender documents can be obtained during normal working hours at the Central Tenders Board's Office, 116
Frederick Street, Port of Spain Telephone No. 625-4330, Fax No. 625-1809.
Tenderers are required to pay a tender deposit of one thousand dollars ($1000.00) payable by cash or
certified cheque to the Director of Contracts, Central Tenders Board. This deposit will be received from
Monday to Friday between the hours of 9.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon and 1.00 p.m. to 3.00 p.m. The original
receipt must be attached to the tender.

A pre-tender meeting followed by a site visit will be held for prospective tenderers at 10.00 a.m. on Friday
August 28, 2015 at the Golden Grove Prison, Arouca.
Tenders must be accompanied by the following:
(i) Valid Income Tax and Valued Added Tax Clearance Certificates issued by the Board of Inland Revenue
and dated not more than six (6) months prior to the closing date of the tender.
( ii) A Valid Certificate of Compliance issued in accordance with the National Insurance Act.
The original and five (5) copies of the Tender should be placed in sealed envelopes clearly marked on the
"Tender for the Construction of the Ration Room at Golden Grove Prison, Arouca, Ministry of Justice".
Envelopes must be addressed to the Chairman, Central Tenders Board, 116 Frederick Street, Port of Spain.
Tenders must be deposited in the BROWN Tenders Box, located in the lobby of the Board's Office not later
than 1:00 p.m. on THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 10, 2015.
Tenders will be opened shortly thereafter. The tenderer or his authorized representative may be present at

such, tenders should be packaged accordingly.
Late tenders will not be considered in any circumstances.
The Board does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any other tender.
The Central Tenders Board reserves the right to cancel the bidding process in its entirety or even partially,
without defraying any cost incurred by any firm in submitting their tender.

In celebration of its tenth anniversary, the T&T
Film Festival (TTFF) is asking for assistance to
enable children to see movies at the TTFF/15.
Under the DreamTicket initiative, boys from the
St Dominic s Children s Home and girls from the
St Jude s Home for Girls will get to attend screenings
of family-friendly films during the TTFF/15, which
takes place from September 15-29.
Interested people and organisations can contribute
to DreamTicket by making a donation of $100
($US15) for each child who will be attending the
This donation will cover the purchase of a movie
ticket, snacks and a drink, and transportation costs
to and from the cinema for one child.
Twenty-five feature-length films from world cin-
ema will screen at the 2015 T&T Film Festival (TTFF),
which takes place from September 15--29 .
This section of films, known as the Panorama
section, is comprised of fiction films and docu-
mentaries from around the world, including T&T s
"heritage" countries and regions, which include
India, Africa, Europe, China and the Middle East.
A release said there will also be films from Latin
America and the USA, and---for the first time---
The acclaimed documentary about the life of English singer Amy Winehouse
makes its Caribbean premiere at the Film Festival in September.
The lineup includes many prestigious titles from
the international film festival circuit. One such film
is the Indian legal drama Court, directed by Chai-
tanya Tamhane, which had a prize-winning premiere
at the Venice Film Festival.
Also screening will be the Kenyan LGBT-themed
portmanteau drama Stories of Our Lives, directed
by Jim Chuchu. The film premiered at the Toronto
International Film Festival and subsequently
screened at the Berlin International Film Festival,
both to great acclaim.
Another acclaimed Berlin selection, Anna Muy-
laert s Brazilian domestic-worker comedy-drama
The Second Mother, will screen at ttff/15. So to
will Zhou Hao s The Chinese Mayor, a political
documentary that bowed at the Sundance Film
Amy, Asif Kapadia s Cannes-premiering study
of the life and death of British singer Amy Wine-
house, is also a ttff/15 selection. And Tales of the
Grim Sleeper, acclaimed documentarian Nick
Broomfield s investigation of the crimes of a serial
killer in Los Angeles, will be presented at the ttff/15
by Broomfield himself, who will lead a masterclass
at the Festival.
This announcement of films adds to the lineup
already announced for the ttff/15: the opening night
film (Haitian documentary Sweet Micky for Pres-
ident) and the feature-length and short Caribbean
films screening in and out of competition. The
experimental and avant garde films of the Festival s
New Media section will be announced soon.
All of these films, and most of the others in the
Panorama section, will be making their Caribbean
premiere at the ttff/15.
The TTFF celebrates films from and about the
Caribbean and its diaspora, as well as from world
cinema, through an annual festival and year-round
In addition, the ttff seeks to facilitate the growth
of Caribbean cinema by offering a wide-ranging
industry programme and networking opportunities.
