Suitably qualified persons are invited to apply for the following positions on contract:
The Systems Technician is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, oper-
ation and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. This individ-
ual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the
infrastructure. This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems
and related procedures adhere to organizational values and help achieve business objectives.
o Responsible for monitoring the progress of all ICT activities and jobs within all government
funded projects undertaken by PSAEL.
o Installs, troubleshoot and implements computer, software and communication system
o Identifies external business trends and technological efficiencies with a view to utilize new
technology to improve organizational efficiencies
o Supervise ICT contractors and service providers
o Provide Technical Assistance to all staff on network hardware and software issues
o Ensures compliance to standards, policies, processes and procedures with all governmental
policies and international system industry standards
o Prepares reports and presentations to ICT Administrator
o Ensures compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Regulations during all PSAEL Projects
o Performs other related duties as may be required to successfully achieve this job function
o Two or more years of experience with windows infrastructure in an enterprise class company
o Minimum of three (3) years experience in a windows Server 2003 or higher environment
o Cisco Certified Network Technician
o Comptia A+ Certification
o Experience with major application and server virtualization initiatives
o Experience with large scale server/data center move or relocation
o Experience with server sizing/capacity planning
o Experience with data center/power management, IT concepts is desirable
o Good Knowledge and Experience with storage (DAS, NAS, SAN) and IP networking
o Proficient in Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Word or CAD.
The Communications Officer will interface with stakeholders and ensure that members of the
Community are sensitized on the social issues that surround community-based projects under the
purview of the Company. The incumbent will also be responsible for the planning and coordi-
nating of Company events
o Develops and maintains relationships with stakeholders so as to provide a pro-active approach
to addressing community needs.
o Plans and coordinates Company Events
o Attends meetings for the purpose of providing relevant information on new and ongoing
projects related to community needs.
o Monitors and co-ordinates the implementation of community projects to ensure customer satisfaction.
o Represents the Company at internal and external events in a sound and professional and
business focuses manner
o Advises Management on communication/public relation matters
o Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Regulations
o Provides minutes of stakeholder meetings'
o Prepares reports as directed
o Ensures all stakeholders and their requirements are identified for all Community Projects
o Performs any other duties as may be required to successfully achieve this job function
o Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or Marketing from an
o Minimum of three (3) years working experience in a relevant field
o Certificate in Events Management.
The Communications Assistant will assist with sensitizing members of the Community on the
social issues that surround community-based projects under the purview of the Company. The
incumbent will also provide support for the planning and coordinating of Company events.
o Plans company based projects with different Community Stakeholders.
o Sensitize stakeholders on the role, objectives and strategies of the Company
o Liaises with Community Stakeholders on social issues and document concerns.
o Acts as a liaison between Community Stakeholders, Contractors and the Company.
o Assists with the coordination of company events
o Represents the Company at internal and external events in a sound, professional and business
o Complies with Occupational Safety and Health Regulations
o Performs any other duties that may be required to achieve this job function .
o Minimum of Five (5) O'levels inclusive of Mathematics and English language.
o A certificate in Social Work/Public Relations or related field.
o Certificate in Public Speaking and Communication Skills.
o Minimum of three (3) years working experience in a relevant field.
o Certificate in Events Management
The Administrative Assistant will provide administrative and secretarial support for the
Manager. In addition to typing, filing and scheduling appointments, the incumbent
co-ordinates meetings, conferences, directs correspondence, obtains supplies and works on spe-
cial projects as requested
o Maintains Manager's daily schedule of appointments
o Issues reminders to staff of upcoming events, meetings and appointments
o Attends and takes minutes of Department Meetings
o Compiles status reports and prepares reports as requested
o Maintains a record of documents
o Receives staff and visitors on behalf of the Manager as Directed
o Solicits reports on behalf of the Manager
o Dispatches mail on behalf of the Manager as directed
o Performs any other relevant duties as may be required to successfully achieve this job function
o Five C/XC/GCE/CSEC O'level passes two of which must be Mathematics and
o Professional Secretarial Diploma or equivalent from a recognized institution
o Proficiency in MS Office Applications
o At least three (3) years relevant working experience
The Procurement & Contracts Clerk will provide a range of administrative support services for
the Procurement & Contracts Administration Unit.
o Assists with the preparation of all documents pertaining to Tenders and Contracts processes
o Updates databases as required
o Maintain contract files in an auditable manner
o Provides Assistance to coordinate site visits for contracts
o Performs routine receptionist duties for visitors to the company
o Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Regulations
o Performs any other relevant duties as may be required to successfully achieve the job function
o Five CXC/GCE/CSEC O'level passes two of which must be Mathematics and English Language
o Certificate in Logistics or Supply Chain Management
o A minimum of One (1) year related work experience
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL BE REQUIRED TO:
o Submit a current Police Certificate of good character
o Undergo a full medical examination
