Denyse Plummer has left the life
she once led and has made a decision
to serve God with her singing. Her
new songs are now praise and worship
in gospelypso and soca rhythms.
Also crossing the calypso monarch
stage into the Gospel arena are names
such as Chris "Tambu" Herbert,
Delamo (Franz Lambkin) and Luta
(Morel Peters). Following his encounter
with Christ, Tambu who won Road
March King titles in 1988, 1989 and
1990 says he is sold out to the Lord
and is singing for Him only. Former

Delamo and Luta have both been heav-
ily involved in singing anointed calyp-
They may not be on the calypso
monarch stage again, but Denyse Plum-
mer, Luta, Tambu and Delamo will all
take to the stage of Faith Centre Min-
istries as Monarchs Sing to the King,
a celebration of T&T in a cultural fusion
of song, dance and music.
A release from the organisers said
Monarchs Sing to the King 2015 is a
signature event to celebrate God that
will incorporate T&T's indigenous
sounds---calypso, tassa, chutney.
Monarchs Sing to the King takes
place tomorrow, Republic Day at Faith
Centre, corner Keate and Prince of
Wales Street, San Fernando.

Attorney Keith Beckles, director of studies
