local entrepreneur, MR. ZAID KHAN. The com-

Mr. Zaid Khan had the foresight twenty five (25)
years ago to develop an inspection service and
engineering design company for the Energy and
Construction Sectors. Today, In-Corr-Tech has
become the preferred third party inspection serv-
ice company in Trinidad and Tobago and the
wider Caribbean, having a reputation second to
none. In-Corr-Tech earned its track record
through diligence, technical capability, compe-
tence, training, adoption of International
Standards and Best Practice methodologies. Mr.
Khan has a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from
the University of the West Indies and is API 510
and API 570 Certified, ASNT Level III, AWS CWI
and an OSHA Licensed Examiner for Hoists, Lifts
and Boilers. Along with Vice Presidents: Mrs.
Saira Harricharan, Mr. Riza Khan, Mr. Riyad Khan
and dedicated workers, Mr. Zaid Khan has devel-
oped a thriving and profitable company, with pen-
sion plans, medical plans and housing plans
available for all employees.
MRS. SAIRA HARRICHARAN, Vice President
of Administration & Operations, has played a fun
damental role in the development of In-Corr-
Tech from its inception. Mrs. Harricharan is an
Quality/Organizational Excellence and also
possesses certification from The University of
the West Indies in Operations Management as
well as certification in Strategic Planning for
Managers and Dealing with Difficult People,
which is an asset seeing that Customer
Interaction is a major part of our business. Mrs.
Harricharan has worked continuously towards
deployment and realization of the goals of the
company. Her resourcefulness and effectiveness
make her an invaluable asset to the company.
In-Corr-Tech is the first local company to have
an HSB Global Standards, USA, ASME
Authorised Inspector (AI). MR. RIZA KHAN is
the Vice President responsible for Engineering,
Design, Inspection & Business Development.
Mr. Riza Khan, whose responsibilities include
new Construction Certification for Boilers &
Pressure Vessels per ASME I and VIII, as well
as their repairs to the NBIC. Mr. Khan also
performs audits for fabrication workshops seek-
ing to become ASME Certificate holders. Riza
has 16 years experience in various disciplines
such as Design/Inspection Engineering, con-
ventional and advanced NDE, Metallurgy,
Failure Analysis and Corrosion. Riza provides
consultancy services in these areas and
ASME/API code related issues for the oil, gas,
power and petrochemical industries in Trinidad
and regionally. He holds a BSc. in Mechanical
Engineering (2000) from UWI and a MSc. in
Engineering Materials & Failure Analysis (2008)
from the University of Nottingham (UK), special-
ising in the modelling of fatigue crack propaga-
tion using Finite Element Analysis (FEA). Over
the years, he has obtained other certifications
such as API 510, 570, AWS CWI, ASNT II and
is also currently an OSHA Licensed Examiner
for Boilers, Hoists and Pressure Vessels and
part-time Lecturer at the University of The
West Indies (UWI), St. Augustine.
MR. RIYAD KHAN, Vice President - Finance,
Research/Development, Training & Business
Development has been instrumental in leading
recent growth of the company. Riyad has a B.A.
in Economics from the University of Western
Ontario and is ASNT NDT Level III, API
510,570,653, AWS CWI, ASQ CQE, NACE
CIP2 certified. He has a combined 16 years in
commercial/corporate banking, NDT and
inspection engineering. Riyad is also an
International Visitor Leadership Program
(IVLP) alumnus - ('A New Beginning:
Entrepreneurship & Business Innovation'' host-
ed by the United States Department of State.
In-Corr-Tech has forayed successfully into pro-
viding Control of Temporary Equipment servic-
es for clients; ensuring that vendor supplied
equipment is fit for purpose prior to client deliv-
ery. Under his direction, a robust in-house
peer-recognised Competency Assurance
Management System was developed and
implemented and accepted by large companies
including BGTT and BPTT.
o QUALIFIED AND CERTIFIED PERSONNEL
With close to one hundred (100) employ-
ees, the company has the largest contingent
of experienced Inspection Engineers, ASNT,
ASQ, AWS & API Certified Inspectors amongst
all the local inspection companies. Our pro-
ficiency in Plant Turn-Arounds, Engineering
Design, Failure Analysis, Finite Element
Analysis, Non-Destructive Testing, NACE
Paint and Coating Inspections, Welding
Inspections, Specialist QA/QC Inspections and
technical training is evidenced by our track
record that covers many substantial projects

Certifications to technical training, to all aspects
of Non-Destructive Testing, we cover all.
o ROOT CAUSE ANALYSIS
From Root Cause Analysis, In-Corr-Tech
Limited has made several recommendations to
local and international companies, in areas of
engineering, design, operations, material
selection, resulting in substantial savings.
Case in point: Following a failure analysis
where metallurgical analysis was done on
components of an articulating passenger
bus that had separated on our highway, it was
revealed that there were manufacturers'
defects in the failed component. The manufac-
turer subsequently came to Trinidad to con-
duct repairs at their expense on seven buses
after the findings were presented to the Board
of the Public Transportation Service Company
(PTSC). This resulted in substantial savings for
PTSC, and increased public safety.
o EQUIPMENT UPGRADES
We are continuously upgrading our equipment
to meet technological changes.
In-Corr-Tech recently acquired new Eddy
Current Testing equipment and another
Magnetic Tank Crawler capable of performing
ultrasonic thickness measurements on vertical
storage tanks, both welded and riveted.
Infrared Thermography has also been intro-
duced to the list of NDT Inspection Techniques.
o ENGINEERING DESIGN AND FINITE
In-Corr-Tech has expanded their technical
capabilities to include Finite Element Analysis
(F.E.A), which allows for highly accurate com-
puter modelling of various strength/stress sce-
narios for steel bodies. FEA enables the virtual
simulation of various test scenarios, such as a
drop test, two (2) point lift tests and four (4)
point lift tests for offshore CCU (cargo carrying
o TECHNICAL TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION
In-Corr-Tech also offers technical training and
certification in the use of rigging equipment, the
operation of heavy machinery, and equipment
calibration. Statutory Inspection of hoists,
elevators, cranes, lifting equipment and appli-
ances, boilers and pressure vessels are con-
ducted by government licensed inspectors. In-
house training of staff is a staple at In-Corr_
Tech with regular training programs ranging
from inspection techniques to computer train-
ing taking place year round. Technical training
in NDT, Metallurgy, Failure Analysis, Welding
and Mechanical Inspections are also offered.

associations, organizations and consultants in
NDT, Metallurgy, Construction and Design

o CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
o In-Corr-Tech annually assists several charity
organisations in the form of monetary
donations and participations in related activities.
o In-Corr-Tech annually takes in undergraduates
from the University of the West Indies and
the University of Trinidad & Tobago exposing
them to the practical aspects of engineering,
inspections and design.
o In-Corr-Tech Limited together with all staff
contributes monthly to an "In-Corr-Tech
Employees Charitable Fund" which is a duly
registered NGO, from which funds are
extracted to assist the needy in our society.
The funding is administered by the
employees and recommendations for
assistance to needy persons are made by
the employees themselves.

employees' children attending The

tertiary education per year per student.
