MARKET INDICES AS AT OCT 30, 2015
Angostura Holdings Ltd (AHL): 30.10.15
The T&T Stock Exchange Ltd (TTSE) received notification from AHL that Mr
Gerald Yetming resigned from the Board of Directors of AHL effective October
At a Board of Directors meeting held on October 29, 2015, senior public
servant Maurice Suite was appointed as director and chairman of the board of
AHL effective October 29, 2015.
The current board of AHL comprises: Maurice Suite, Marlon Holder, Krishna
Boodhai, Joseph Teixeira; and Albert George Tom Yew
JMMB Group Ltd (JMMBGL): 30.10.15
The TTSE received notice from JMMBGL that the board of directors will be
convening a special board meeting on Friday November 13, 2015, to consider an
interim dividend payment on the company's ordinary shares.
National Commercial Bank Jamaica Ltd (NCBJ): 30.10.15
The TTSE received notice from NCBJ that the following senior management
portfolio assignments will take effect as at November 1, 2015:
• Nadeen Matthews, who joined NCBJ in 2010, will assume the role of chief
digital and marketing officer. As chief digital officer, she will drive the digital
transformation across the NCB Group of Companies. Nadeen will continue to
lead the group's marketing and communications and enterprise information
management functions; and she will also remain chief executive officer of the
• Janelle Prevost, who joined the organisation in 2013 as the transformation
officer, will now also assume responsibilities for the NCB group's strategy and
will work with the leadership of the organisation to effect
strategic plans for the bank and its subsidiaries.
"These changes are important to adapt and thrive in the
changing local and global context," NCB Group managing
director, Patrick Hylton stated.
GraceKennedy Ltd (GKC): 28.10.15
The TTSE received notice from GKC that the board of
directors will on November 5, 2015 consider a resolution for the
declaration of an interim dividend to be paid in December 2015.
Berger Paints Trinidad Ltd (BER): 26.10.15
The TTSE has received notice from BER that at a
meeting of the board of directors held on
Wednesday October 14, 2015, a resolution was
passed effecting the acceptance of the resignation
of Mr Jalaj A Dani, director.
This took effect on October 19, 2015. At the said
directors' meeting held on October 14, 2015, Mr
Manish Mahendra Choksi, a national of India, was
appointed to fill a vacancy on the board of directors.
This appointment took effect on Monday October
NGL still leads
Trading in the First Tier Market
tempered significantly from last
week s unusual levels. A total of
2,908,964 shares traded this
week compared to 9,272,885
shares traded in the prior week.
Trading in the recently listed T&T NGL Ltd
(NGL) shares continued to lead the market with
31.90 per cent of the total volume traded.
With respect to Indices movement all the
indices registered slight declines. The Composite
Index fell 0.20 per cent or 2.25 points to end
the week at 1,148.91, the All Trinidad and Tobago
Index fell 0.21 per cent or 4.06 points to 1,951.60
and the Cross Listed Index dropped 0.13 per
cent or 0.06 points to 45.42.
This week there were 5 stocks advancing and
7 declining. The major advance was JMMB, up
11.90 per cent or $0.05 to $0.47 and the major
decline was T&T NGL Ltd (NGL), down 4.33
per cent or $1.04 to $22.96
There was no activity on the Second Tier
Market this week. On the TTD Mutual Fund
Market, 152,339 Clico Investment Fund (CIF)
and 2,000 Praetorian Property Mutual Fund
(PPMF) units traded with a value of
$3,434,424.56 in total.
Both CIF and PPMF s prices remained
unchanged at $22.51 and $3.06 respectively.
