National Enterprises Ltd: 19.11.15
The TTSE received notice from NEL that effective October 28, 2015, Dr
Utam Maharaj is no longer a director of the NEL.
National Commercial Bank Jamaica Ltd (NCBJ): 19.11.15
The TTSE received notice from NCBJ that a shareholder connected to
directors purchased 1,000 NCBJ shares on November 17, 2015.
National Commercial Bank Jamaica Ltd (NCBJ): 18.11.15
The TTSE received notice from NCBL that a shareholder connected to
directors purchased 100,000 NCBJ shares on November 16, 2015.
JMMB Group Ltd (JMMBGL): 17.11.15
The TTSE received notification from JMMBGL that a
shareholder connected to a director sold 1,000,000
JMMBGL shares on November 16, 2015.
Trinidad Cement Ltd (TCL): 17.11.15
The TTSE received notice from TCL that on
November 12, 2015 a director purchased 543,793 TCL
shares and sold 199,000 TCL shares.
National Enterprises Ltd (NEL): 12.11.15
The TTSE received notice from NEL that
Anthony Jordan has resigned as a director of the
company effective October 30, 2015.
Heavy trading Republic,
Trading activity increased last week with 2,041,908 shares
traded on the First Tier Market, up 12.65 per cent on last
week’s volume of 1,812,597. The value of shares traded more
than doubled, up 109.81 per cent to $39,303,174.03 from the
prior week’s value of $18,732,510.98.
The significant increase in the value of shares traded was
mainly attributable to heavy trading in Republic Bank Ltd
(RBL) which saw 121,860 shares traded with a value of
$13,648,320.00 as well as Scotiabank T&T Ltd (SBTT) with
189,960 shares changing ownership with a value of
The volume leader this week was Jamaica Money Market
Brokers Group Ltd (JMMBGL) with 19.42 per cent of all
trades or 396,500 shares traded.
All three Indices extended their gains this week from the
week before. The Composite Index advanced 0.48 per cent
or 5.49 points to close the week at 1,159.14, the All Trinidad
and Tobago Index rose 0.11 per cent or 2.20 points to 1,953.99
and the Cross Listed Index ended the week at 47.89, up 2.57
per cent or 1.20 points.
The top performer was National Flour Mills Ltd (NFM),
rising 11.06 per cent or $0.22 to close at $2.21 and the major
decline was Scotia Investments Jamaica Ltd (SIJL), which
fell 3.64 per cent or $0.06 to $1.59.
Advances significantly outnumbered declines this week
There was no activity on the Second Tier Market this
week. On the TTD Mutual Fund Market 177,706 Clico Invest-
ment Fund (CIF) units traded with a value of $4,006,043.33.
CIF’s price rose 0.09 per cent or $0.02 to $22.55.
