A leapling (born on 29 February), Caitlin EJ Meyer leapt to fame early
in life when at the tender age of 10, she landed her first film role in
the 2002 I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus. Before the film, Caitlin
had her stage debut in The Little Match Girl. The young actress has
appeared in nine films and three television series, and is well known
for her roles in A Pioneer Miracle, Minor Details, Little Secrets, Take A
Chance, and You're So Cupid. Caitlin has been awarded two Young
Artist Awards for her work in film and television.
When you use waterproof eye makeup like
eyeliner and mascara, you can bid bye to
smudging and your makeup running. Unlike
what happens with non-waterproof makeup,
you won't look like you have been crying or
training a race horse.
There are many popular brand waterproof
mascaras made to prevent the latter from
happening. My favourites are either the L'O-
real Voluminous Carbon Black or the Shiseido
Perfect Mascara Defining Volume, as you can
build on them both with lots of coats without
clumping, and they are waterproof and very
To help eyeshadows become waterproof,
we must employ an eyeshadow primer under
the application of the eyeshadow.
A good local bet for this type of primer is
the NYX eyeshadow primer, which touts the
ability to make any eyeshadow waterproof
Good waterproof foundations are May-
belline Dream Nude Airfoam, Revlon Colour
Stay and L'Oreal Infallible Matte Foundation.
As for setting sprays, we have the ad-
vantage of setting the face
with sprays to give a partic-
ular finish... matte, dewy or
satin, the latter being more suited for bridal
beauty work. Setting sprays Prep and Prime
from M.A.C. and Mist & Fix from Makeup For-
ever can maintain a dewy face for hours as
would Sacha Cosmetics setting spray main-
tain a matte finish for the same time.
Don't let all that H2O stand in your way of
getting dolled up, just fill your makeup bag
with these waterproof wonders and dive in!
1. Let go of the past
Consciously and actively work
at releasing all past hurts, fail-
ures, whether it is your career, re-
lationships, and judgments.
Dwelling on them do not make
you stronger, healthier or more
powerful. In fact, they have
power over you. If you truly want
to make a change, invest in a Life
Coach who can help take you
from where you are right now to
where you would like to be.
2. Align your actions
It is IMPORTANT to write
things down, as we tend to for-
get the things that we commit
to doing. When trying to align
yourself, take some time to
write down the following:
• i. Your core beliefs/values
• ii. Your Life Goals
• iii. The actions that you are
taking to pursue those goals
Evaluate what you have writ-
ten and determine whether or
not they align with your goals
and actions. If not, ask yourself:
is it time to create new core be-
liefs, set new goals OR take new
action? Write down 3 actions
that you will take this week to
get yourself moving.
3. STOP rehashing
People love to rehash issues
from their past. You have the
power over your life and your

When you find yourself
lamenting about your past or
angry about your present or
brooding about your future, find
a way to making someone's day
better. Offer a smile or a kind
6. Practice Gratitude
Watch what happens in your life
when you practice gratitude at
every opportunity, every single day.
7. Think it through
What's the worst that can
happen if faced with a brutal re-
minder? Ask yourself - what can
I do to live with this memory, ac-
cept it, and move forward?
8. Realise WHO matters
Take time to discover who is
really touching your life now.
9. Be Aware
Creating awareness will help
you break the cycle of being stuck.
10. Make new memories
Keep yourself busy with phys-
ical activity, join a club and meet
like-minded people, meet some-
one who has no clue what you
do for a living and why you do it,
and enjoy your life!
iving in the Caribbean means it's almost always warm, humid weather, but we
love it! It gives us the best excuse to have a life that's all about beaches, tans,
down-the-island fetes and pool parties. In all of these events you still want to
look beautiful throughout any perspiration, which is bound to naturally occur. The
concern is that your makeup stays on your face and doesn't dramatically fade. Two
ways to achieve this staying power is via waterproof makeup and setting sprays.
