SAINTFIET QUITS AS TRINIDAD AND
TOBAGO COACH... ON FACEBOOK!
The Trinidad and Tobago National
Senior Team was plunged into further
disarray this morning as Tom Saintfiet
quit his post as head coach, just before
lunch---barely one month into his tenure
with the Soca Warriors.
Gershwin Jay Quintyne What????!!
Well there goes world cup qualifica-
Jaime Pablo What a mess!
Trevor Baksh We need a Third
World coach to understand Third
Sheldon Browne Lol...our best
coach was fired and our worst
quit...what ah mess.
Simone Ghirlanda An ex-
perienced coach in Costa Rica
overall remains the best bet.
Carlos Watson of Saprissa for
instance. Costa Rica has the
best football in the area after
Mexico and experienced coaches
in Mexico are most likely out of the
budget and not interested in a precari-
John Gorgan Well boy... lmao. Right
now Hart looking like Sir Alex Ferguson.
The writing is on the wall... he just took
in front and resigned. Plus look at his
resume he never last long anywhere
he went. Plus you can use the media to
communicate to your players.
Not all workers pleased
While the Oilfields Workers'' Trade
Union (OWTU) claimed victory in per-
suading Petrotrin to increase its 0-0-0
wage offer to settle at five per cent for
the collective bargaining period of 2011-
2014, not all workers were pleased with
Hubert Thode In this state of econ-
omy where many are losing their jobs,
anyone should be happy for an increase.
Harry Ramharack Those workers
who are pleased at this time will be-
come displeased some time in the
future... the scheme of things in wage

It's political interference. That is the
claim from acting Pan Trinbago pres-
ident Richard Forteau as he broke his
silence on a campaign to remove the
entire executive of the steelband body
on the eve of the staging of the nation-
al panorama competition.
Jacqueline Benjamin Get rid of you
all, yes. Every year, if the government
does not give Pan Trinbago money, is
no panorama. Sad, so you want tax
payers money just so, we have no mon-
ey trees here.
Burt Charles What's going on with
Pan Trinbago headquarters in Trincity.
The land was given to them under the
Panday govt. Still can't complete the
building up to this time. Players can get
there money and x5 being purchased.
Apparently the executive is visionless
and detrimental to the future of the
steel pan movement.
Kenrick Purcell So
allyuh want taxpayer
dollars and no state
sight? Present your
audited statements please.
Carlyle Modeste Political interfer-
ence? Then generate all your monies to
run your organisation.
Senior cops facing axe
Two senior police officers were es-
sentially given their walking papers by
acting Police Commissioner Stephen
Williams yesterday during the weekly
police executive meeting.
Indra Mathura Ridiculous, if they go
will it stop crime?
Carroll Cole Good start. Love this
Theresa Conliffe Why Stephen Wil-
liams ain't dismiss himself? Stuepps.
Andrew James I don't know how the
top cop managed to distance himself
from the said treatment?
Corey Daily Good job, commissioner
of police, the police service should have
been doing that a long time now.
Kunle Olusayo Fayola Who is the
one to give the Acting Police Commis-
sioner his walking papers for a failing
grade for the entire police service?
Sheldon Bally Get the bad apples
out along with the non-performers.
Clifford Jennings Doh tell me that
by sending home these officers is your
fighting crime plan, Mr CoP.
Kurt Bowlah Everybody, from police
officers, government/opposition MPs,
licensing officers, customs officers,
doctors in public hospitals etc, who not
performing their duties up to standard
should be asked to go home. Too much
people collecting ah paycheck to do
nothing and ripping off de country while
they at it.
William Ganness Um... This is wrong.
While it is a good idea to hold public
officers accountable, it appears that the
COP is acting unreasonably. By making
these men lose their jobs for crime
statistics that could have been influenc-
es by an unlimited number of factors
outside of the police performance, you
are telling snr police to do anything
to get the numbers down, maybe in-
cluding false reporting, breaking the
law or charging the wrong people. The
article has drawn no reference that the
increases were due to the men's perfor-
mance---the CoP would have to show
actual performance stats (not crime
stats) that will indicate police efficiency
and that whatever stats he use is the
cause of the shortcoming---an impos-
sible task. (I am sure their lawyers will
have fun with this one.)
Jul-ian Williams If these men not
performing let them go, it's about time
the man start demanding from his se-
niors. Let's not get angry at him.
Ambitious Glow This is hilarious. The
government failed to give us a plan to
solve crime and state that they don't
have sufficient funds to run the country
(ie there will be lack of resources to
work with). How can they blame these
people for not solving enough crime?
They are given good performance
appraisals so how these allegations
be made? CoP, what do the actual per-
formance statistics show about these
