the Juniper field and other projects will
help stabilise the gas shortages that
energy companies face.

to use the extra revenue to develop
an alternative industry because this is
likely the last hurrah.
Visesh Lall Let's see if the country
will benefit at all from this.

up! The US Navy appears to have
achieved the Holy Grail of energy
independence--turning seawater into
energy. Curiously, this doesn't seem to
be making much of a splash (no pun
intended) on the evening news.
Brian Parker We should not be
so dependent on oil. We need to
concentrate on diversification.
Curtis Budhoo Oil prices on the rise
just means that Petrotrin has to spend
more on foreign oil in order to refine
it. How is that good for the economy
when Petrotrin's overhead is already

is studying the police. How do you all

perpetrators get caught soon since
they are known to the victim. Very sad
Reginald Hercules Before we make
these comments, most times half the
story is not told.
Don Cooper Had the police
intervened, maybe killed those
murderers, the same public would
be up in arms saying police brutally,
execution whatever. We do not support
the police when they do their job.

not make much sense.
The Topside, in photo, is part of the Juniper platform. It weighs 5,670 tonnes and
is 180 feet in height. It was fabricated in La Brea by Trinidad Offshore Fabricators.
The Topside is the largest offshore structure every fabricated in Trinidad and
Tobago. Former energy Minister Kevin Ramnarine (below in photo) said Juniper's
production would return the country to positive economic growth in the fourth
quarter of 2017 and much of 2018.
