With the spiralling increase of crimes in
T&T, particularly murders, the nation's
security agencies have launched an all
out offensive to hunt down criminals and
bring them to justice.
Donna Bissoon Mohammed Hope they
get the job done...the crime situation is
really out of control.
Jewel Flores Finally! Something, any-
thing. Please! Thank you!
Pundit Mehindra Rambally Maharaj
We wait to see the results. Good luck
to them. Hope it works.
Aaron Love Starts up hot and then just
Kathleen Austin Good luck with that!
Nadia Tambie Teach them to protect
and serve the peace in the country first
before you send them out. They need
training---victimising people instead of
protecting and serving.
Claire Bella This is only to fool us for
Carnival. These calling out all employees
is not sustainable. The expert security
forces need to see what is working (like
the CoP said) in certain areas and ap-
ply it to other areas. We are not seeing
police patrolling our areas as they are
saying. Please get real and employ the
best people to bring back peace to our
land. Praying for much success.
Oma Ramdass-Maharaj Why this
sounding like it's only for Carnival? I hope
it continues right through and bring the
troops out for the whole year. This nation
deserves some peace.
Africa Rose When crime reach inside the
Chinese, Syrian, rich ppl etc homes then
we will see where barley grows!
Krissie Garcia How timely of this to
happen after the US Ambassador, John
Estrada, had his radio and TV show in-
Ingrid Baker Hope they have enough
room in the jails for all of them. I would
love to see this work out and see my
country get back on track, but its hard
to be hopeful.
Sandra Ramsawak They trying to do
that years now...every time there's an in-
crease in murders you hear them saying
the same thing.
Jimi Jorsling All they have to do is start
dismantling the big crime syndicates.
Pervert sneaks into
Teachers and parents of students at-
tending the San Fernando Seventh Day
Adventist Primary School expressed out-
rage yesterday after an intruder entered
the girls' washroom, exposed himself and
tried to coerce a nine-year-old female
student to have oral sex with him.
Andrew James How low can we go?
Don't tell me they can't afford security.
Nine years old, that is a child that needs
all the protection. How that man entered
the school compound?
Andrew Jodhan This Carnival going to
be terrible when it comes to crime.
Carolee Lewis Good question, how did
he enter the school and bathroom?
Where was security and where are the
surveillance cameras and who watching
the cameras? Like the guy said before
where is all the oil money, asphalt mon-
ey? Trinidad is a rich country not a Third
Peter Herbert It is nothing more than
slackness with the Ministry of Educa-
tion in not having the school compound
Qi Zareen And by the Success Laven-
tille school there's a vagrant expanding
his scraps of garbage on a daily basis. It
gets bigger every time you drive by. Too
many silly things allowed to happen at
our nation's school.
Maya Gabriel It's called paedophiles not
so? Why we doh use the right terms---
first sicko now pervert.
Anointed Shekinah Kells Where was
the security? Now u can't send ur kids
to school! This world is getting more
worse by day!
Marriage Bill moves
to Lower House
The Opposition United National Congress
said it abstained from voting on amend-
ment to the Marriage Act on Tuesday
night "as a protest vote" against the
decision taken by the Attorney General
to amend the legislation from requiring
a constitutional majority to a simple
Marvel Mendez A bunch of hollow ex-
cuses. A waste of the country's time.
Noel Henry This is so simple. You wanna
marry off a person because you think or
believe in a faith but this child have there
whole life to live. Let's pass the bill and
let this child wait until he/she reaches
the legal age to make watever decisions
they want to make.
Melina Hutchinson The only work this
opposition has done so far is to oppose
the PNM out of spite. They don't care
about this country and the future of
our young girls, they are just concerned
with scoring points. Well, they scored
no points here because the UNC under
Kamla will forever be remembered as an
opposition who condones pedophilia and
the enslavement of young girls through
marriage at a young age.

Government they always favoured what
was best so self and their associates. It
is part of their ideology that is not going

love what is going on with child marriage.
need to resign
Acting Commissioner of Police Stephen
Williams said he sees no reason for him
to tender his resignation.
Daren Mc Leod My question is, what
has this government really done for the
almost two years in office? Why do we
still have an acting Police Commission-
er? What have they really done? Yes,
we can say the police, this or that, but
let us be serious, which Police Commis-
sioner, who is existing on the favour of
a government, can really attack crime
and, obviously step on the toes of the

ing, don't have to show any productivity
or be held accountable.

the Chinese they want meh look bad!
Buh it have good police. Doh worry, as
