'COAST GUARD KICKED ME OVERBOARD'
Afisherman claimed that he
was thrown overboard by a
member of the Coast Guard
and only survived after his crew
rescued him in the rough waters off
Columbus Bay. Cedros fisherman
Kelvin Ramcharan, 32, said he saw
death and began to swallow water
before he was pulled from the sea.
Ree Ann Rediculous---U can't
even trust the ppl you put in charge
for your own protection anymore.
It's a sad state this country reach
Crystal Maraj---This story jus
not sounding right, it's like saying
"he was a good boy." There's al-
ways two sides ppl!
Joel Henry---And where is the
evidence to prove this?
Devon Devon---Well, if you
want to kill a man, carry him out at
sea then? Because police have no
jurisdiction out there. BTW, those
friends of his are loyal, well done
Arlene Portia Grant---Some-
thing is missing from this story. So
why would Coast Guard instruct
you to board their vessel if you
were not being detained, and just
kick you off? And then in the view
of all those witnesses? What ex-
actly aren't you saying?
Reginald Hercules---There is
another side to that story.
Omardath Maharaj, Agri-
cultural Economist---I've said it
publicly and repeatedly over the
years, we need to protect the men
and women who feed our country.
things are happening every day.
Simon Sookoo---D police is ah
law unto themselves...and now
d coast guard. No wonder they
begging for firearms to carry home
because when they with they batch
and them they like to interfere with
law abiding citizens, but when
they shift done and is them alone
they frightened because people not
taking advantage no more.
Andre Thompson---Clearly the
government did not spend enough
money on training the Coast
Guard. They only got TT$10 billion
dollars for the year.
Darien Sumting---Time to
raise the requirements for all these
law enforcement type of jobs...
KFC and TTPS have d same job
requirements except for d height
Boy, 6, chopped
ASan Fernando father ex-
pressed remorse yester-
day when he appeared in
court charged with attempting
to murder his six-year-old son
after chopping him on the fore-
head with a meat cleaver.
Wendyann Seemungal---I does
always say it have more mad Ppl
outside than inside yes
Na Lo---Did anyone catch the
punchline, "He still lives in the
house with his victims"? I'm not
going to judge this woman, but a
word to all women out here: get
yourself and education, be able to
stand on your own two feet finan-
cially. Don't let a man, especially
an abusive one, make style on you.
If he gets bail, we might hear about
it when he makes good on his
Naseem Mohammed---I know
a lot of people in Trinidad who
need anger management. They just
can't control it. But ur own child?
What is really happening here?
Judith Chase---Soon it will no
longer have a population the way
the place going...domestic vio-
lence has also contributed to the
murder figures...so calling an SOE
will still have these demons in the
home. Time for serious psychiatric
evaluation of every home in T&T!
Pamela Jagdeo---OMG what is
wrong with people? If you do that
to your own what would you do to
other people children?
Boy, 9, beaten
by school bully
The mother of a nine-year-
old boy who underwent
emergency surgery yes-
terday to repair the shattered
bones in his right elbow, after
being beaten by a bully in school,
said someone has to pay for her
Omg, this is so sad. It starts from
primary school what more to ex-
cept from them when the become
Salina Thomas---Lord Father
I thank you for protecting all d
children in my family because only
u alone know, Lord, that if some-
thing like dat happen to my grand-
children only u can save them...
kind off behaviour happens in all
schools through the country and
Lilly Singh---I agree that there's
both sides to a situation but let's
be realistic. For everyone who said
they were playing I'm baffled as to
what game it was that this child's
bone was shattered to that extent.
Doesn't seem like a game to me.
Melina Hutchinson---The little
boy who committed this act needs
psychological help, otherwise he is
a future criminal for sure! He did to
that little boy what he has seen or
Hadassah Walcott---I got bul-
lied as a child---it was in secondary
school so it was more intense. It
affected me so bad I felt isolat-
ed. The bully only stop because a
teacher took him privately, I don't
know what was said but after that
he stop. But I was emotionally
scarred. The bully continued on
with life and is singing for God now
as an adult, but me, I still remem-
ber everything, it's like torture.
Sharmela Tickorie---That child
didn't become a bully overnight!
I'm sure there are more incidents
with that child and the school
should have done something about
it. Most parents feel helpless when
their child is being bullied and
make complaints and school staff
doesn't address the problem and
this is the outcome.
