Artist Marise Rodriguez is the
administrator of the Living Water
Community Hospice for terminally
ill cancer patients, and paints main-
ly for pleasure and relaxation. In
her second solo art exhibition, she
brings new offerings to the ASTT
Gallery in her showing titled Joy (Is.
12 v 6). The opening reception and
launch takes place at the Art Soci-
ety of T&T, located at the corner of
Jamaica Boulevard and St Vincent
Avenue, Federation Park on Tues-
Rodriguez, who is a member of both
the Women in Art Organization and
the ASTT, says her main enjoyment is
painting old rustic houses reminiscent
of the good old days of interesting ar-
chitectural features on roofs, windows
and other adornments, capturing this
unique but vanishing period.
Her paintings have received awards
and recognition, and many adorn T&T
homes and offices, as well as spaces
abroad, including the USA, Canada,
the United Kingdom and other Carib-

ceeds of this exhibition will be given
to the Living Waters Hospice to mark
its 34th anniversary of the founding of
There will be a collection of paintings
to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the
Pointe-A-Pierre Wild Fowl Trust, from
which a donation will be given to aid
their efforts in maintaining our flora
Additionally, proceeds will assist with
the artist's pilgrimage to Rome, France
and to Lady of Fatima 100th Anniver-
sary of Apparitions in Portugal.
Joy (Is. 12 v 6) will run from its open-
ing night until March 11---on that day,
visitors can enjoy light refreshments
from 3 pm. Admission is free.
