According to reports, around 7.20
am brothers Joel and Gerard Hoyte
were standing outside their home at
Hoyte Street, Maturita, Arima, when
a white Nissan Tiida stopped next to
Christopher Persaud 124? I'm
pretty sure it's more than that, not

Jiu Li Yen Richardson They
don't roll up and shoot random ppl.
Tyrone Singh Welcome to Ja-
Vijay Harry What's new? It's
the order of the day. People, protect
yourself. The police seem to be clue-
less. A tough hill to climb. We need
a curfew. This would help the police
officers. They live in fear also. Kill
or be killed. They have families also.
They need our help!
3 dead, 2 injured in
Maraval drive-by shooting
Three people are now dead and
two others injured in a drive-by
shooting at Le Platte Village in Mar-

Nerissa Dqueen They are being

In a press release issued yesterday
afternoon, the Regiment's Public
Affairs Unit said it was greatly con-
cerned by inaccuracies over a link to
the high-profile investigation and
Samaroo's death on Thursday being
circulated on social media websites.
Eric Williamson This is the same
Defence Force that issued an official
release stating that it was normal
practice to extend high powered
weapon training to the children of
the attorney general...

a spine and develops a conscience.
Mona Seebaran This is T&T..life
is cheap..After reading and looking
at this solider face together with 27
years of service...it's very difficult
to believe that he would want to kill
himself. There is a dark side to this
case, people are not that stupid, they
know exactly what are the reasons?

Archbishop Barbara Burke is
recommending a limited state of
emergency in crime-infested Enter-
prise as law enforcement officers are
Madho Persad Say it isn't so. No
state of emergency.
Denise A Mcqueen Well it's good
that you are thinking of a solution,
but I don't think that would help
because they are killing at any time
not just night. The ordinary people
are already in a curfew, afraid to leave
Shirley Thomas The training
that the police received seems to be
somewhat inadequate. In the UK
I have seen policewomen control
crowds better than policemen do in
Trinidad. Crowds are kept away from
police they do not mingle or hang
about where the police are situated.
There is no law and order, that seems
to be non-existent. The entire op-
eration is a big joke as no respect is
given to the law.
Jacqueline Benjamin We had
agencies that were working un-
dercover to assist the police with
certain info, they were disbanded,
what government of a country does
that?OPVs sold to another country
which were brought to patrol our
waters/coastlines. Who does that?
They gave us all the dotish reasons
why we did not need these national
security agencies and protection and
their supporters agreed with them,
so why are they complaining now
that these criminals are out of hand?
Melina Hutchinson A limited
SOE means that there will be a 6 pm
to 6 am curfew. Burke, they shooting
people in broad daylight, so how is
this going to help?
Margarita Hinkson It cooled
things down last time, that means
it worked. Anything is better than
