The local market saw an increase in trading activity
this week when compared to the previous week.
There were 3,656,714 shares changing hands on
the First Tier Market which represented a 47.99 in-
crease on last week’s volume of 2,470,989 shares.
The value of shares traded more than doubled, up
110.60 per cent from $21,835,545.04 in the prior week
to $45,985,786.61 this week.
The significant increase in the value of shares
traded was mainly attributable to heavy trading in
Readymix (West Indies) Limited (RML) which saw
1,532,982 shares changing ownership with a value of
$16,862,802.00 as well as Republic Financial Holdings
Limited (RFHL) which saw 103,087 shares traded with
a value of $10,505,013.29.
RML was the volume leader accounting for 41.92
per cent of the market.
The Indices closed the week in negative territory.
The Composite Index fell 0.38 per cent or 4.66 points
to end at 1,214.11, the All Trinidad and Tobago Index
fell 0.29 per cent or 5.23 points to close at 1,793.40
and the Cross Listed Index ended the week at 85.09,
down 0.65 per cent or 0.56 points. This week there
were four stocks advancing and 13 declining.
The major advance was GraceKennedy Limited
(GKC), up 2.52 per cent or $0.07 to close at its 52-
week high of $2.85 and the major decline was Scotia
Investments Jamaica Limited (SIJL), down 8.92 per
cent or $0.24 to end at $2.45.
There was no activity on the Second Tier Market
On the TTD Mutual Fund Market 101,621 CLICO
Investment Fund (CIF) units traded with a value of
$2,286,713.78. CIF’s price remained unchanged at

Guardian Media Limited (GML) – 25.05.17
The Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange Limited (TTSE) received
notice from GML advising of the appointment of its chairman – Mr
Peter Clarke with effect from July 1, 2017. The company would like

In addition, GML further announced that the following persons were
elected directors of the board on May 22, 2017 at the company’s
Annual Meeting of Shareholders:
• Ms Sharon Christopher
• Prof Brian Copeland
• Mr A Nicholas Sabga
GML further advised of the resignation of the CFO/company secretary,
Mr Larry Jerome with effect from May 22, 2017.
Trinidad Cement Limited (TCL) – 23.05.17
The TTSE received notice from TCL advising that Mr Bryan Ram-
sumair tendered his resignation form the board of directors of TCL
with effect from May 26, 2017.
FirstCaribbean International Bank Limited (FCI) – 23.05.17
The TTSE received notice from FCI that Mr Douglas Williamson
was appointed chief financial officer effective May 25, 2017. He
joins the bank from CIBC in Toronto, where he was vice-president
and chief financial officer, Infrastructure Groups.
Mr Williamson replaces Mr Brian Lee who returns to Toronto to be-
come chief auditor at CIBC.
Trinidad Cement Limited (TCL) & Readymix (West Indies) Limited
(RML) – 19.05.17
The TTSE received notice from TCL & RML advising that TCL’s offer
was successful and that all terms and conditions of the offer were
complied with or waived and that the requisite Foreign Investment
license was received form the Ministry of Finance. Both companies
wish to advise the following:
1. The validation of all acceptances by the Trinidad and Tobago Cen-
tral Depository and First Citizens Brokerage and Advisory Services
Limited has since been completed, and the number of RML shares
tendered in response to the Offer has now been revised.
2. As at May 15, 2017, the final tally of the Ordinary shares depos-
ited by RML Shareholders in response to the Offer was 1,558,802
Ordinary shares which, together with TCL’s existing shareholding in
RML (71.1 per cent), represents approximately 84.1 per cent of the
outstanding Ordinary shares.
3. The total consideration paid by TCL for the Ordinary shares deposited
pursuant to its Offer was US$1,429,274.68 and TT$7,449,458.00.
