Although she often fantasised
about placing first in the Secondary
Entrance Assessment (SEA) exam-
ination, Lexi Balchan was at a loss
for words when her dream came true
Jack Shear: It wasn't a fantasy,
it was a goal you set for yourself and
you and your parents devised and
implemented a plan to reach that
goal. The government can learn a lot
William Ganness: You are in the
wrong country my dear---all we able
to produce is lawyers and account-
ants oh, and a few engineers.
Joy Cassie-leach: Job well done.
Keep on reaching for the stars.
Early Figeroux: Your door is
open, stay blessed and continue your
journey. Work hard and love yourself
Harry Ramharack: Become what
you want with God as your guide.
Devi Parray: Proud of you, hard
Lisa Ragbirsingh: Congratula-
tion on your excellence.
Patrick Padilla: Congrats to
you young lady, on your remarkable
achievement in your SEA exams.
Geeta Mandraj: Congrats young
lady... excellent ... proud of you and
Hearty congratulations to the par-
ents and this very successful child.
May God bless her and guide her
throughout her years.
Well done Lexi. Congratulations.
Some good news coming out of Trin-
idad for a change.
Sarah Lucess: Congratulations to
the ASJA schools.
Point Fortin got the top spot! Yay!
Shariff Mohammed: If the high-
way to Point Fortin should be com-
pleted and the Debe campus, think
about the potential these students
can make in education.
Opposition Leader Kamla Per-
sad-Bissessar is warning that thou-
sands of public servants and law
enforcement officers may be out of
a job as the Government seeks to
reduce expenditure by $3 billion this
Renaldo Matadeen: Sing a soca,
plant a garden or play a sport. Well,
at least two out of the three flourish
under the PNM. Dr PM isn't into ag-
Grace Thompson: Then you bet-
ter not let it reach there, bring back
the monies and you'll be able to say I
did something for the people.
Loraine Charles: Grasping at
straws and sowing the seeds of dis-
contentment. Constantly divisive,
to keep the country torn apart along
racial lines. What exactly does it
achieve? Sowing fear. Stressing the
nation out with innuendos. Why she
don't take a seat in the back row?
Gerald Mejias: She still the UNC
leader? I wonder when the party will
wake up and get someone who really
know how to bring people together.
Christian M Johnatty: Not the
government's job to mind everyone
in the public sector. I'll keep saying
it, privatise the utilities! Trim the
excess fat from TSTT, WASA and
Arlene Portia Grant: I don't
think the government is so stupid to
fire any law enforcement officers.
Or any military personnel. There are
too many criminals in Trinidad and
Kenny Supersad: First thing---
close down is Cepep and Urp and all
contracts labour in the government
service. Cut funding to Tobago as $3
billion a year is too much. Tobago has
less people living than Chaguanas or
Sharon Jorcil James: You had a
once-in-a-lifetime, golden oppor-
tunity to deliver the nation out of
PNM reign and shackles... and you
Ozra Nellyne Peters: Madame
Opposition Leader, when will you
have speeches about Unity, love and
togetherness? When will you and
all politicians stop dividing Trini-
dad and Tobago along racial lines?
When will you stop sowing seeds of
discord, discontentment. When will
you start working towards a better
Trinidad and Tobago?
Destra fan awarded
$$ for fast wine
Soca artist Destra Garcia has been
ordered to pay a little over $50,000
in compensation to a fan who suf-
fered a ruptured bladder during an
impromptu onstage performance in
Belize in 2015.
Aaron Davidson: Lol, this has to
be a joke.
Allan Hercules: He soft!
Karlene Sonders: Choose your
man to dance wisely, not them frag-
ile, half-dead sick man who can't
stand the pressure.
Joisanne Cornwall: But who
send him? lol
Nizam Mohammed How come
none of these local artists never
came together to do a charity show
for flood victims after the storm?
That 55 grand could of helped out a
lot of families and that man in Belize
would of been peeing right.
Seeta Samaroo: They cannot
handle Trini woman.
Arlene Godfearing Stewart: I
thought "a little wine doh hurt no-
Admits he got HDC
contract under PNM
Sea Lots community leader Cedric
"Burkie" Burke yesterday admitted
his company---Burke and Company
Ltd---has obtained a Housing Devel-
opment Corporation (HDC) contract
at Woodstar Avenue, Bon Air South,
under the People's National Move-
Frank John: So is only one type
of people should get contacts from
the government? So living East PoS
mean you can't own a business? Em-
ploying people from your area makes
you a gang leader? SMH
Pundit Mehindra Rambally
Maharaj: Maybe Mr Burke can help
me, a disabled person, to get a HDC
house. I have been waiting over 16
Dunstan Alexander: Well if he
is good enough to be given Govern-
ment contracts, he is good enough to
be at President's House.
Jamal Cudjoe: Burke said he also
received several contracts under the
then People's Partnership regime.
Gemma Gadishaw: Undeniable
proof that both parties know what
they're about. Both dancing to the
tune being played by the financiers
while citizens serve by paying taxes.
Fair deal, not so?
