during heavy rainfall yesterday. Think she made it?

Thank you for great service at EWMSC
Referred to ENT Clinic at the Eric
Williams Medical Sciences Com-
plex made my husband and I
aware of his illness, chronic sinus-
itis. He had suffered for years with
unbearable headaches, nasal con-
gestion, pain around the nose and
eye area and sleep deprivation, not
knowing what was really wrong.
Godsend was Otolaryngologists,
Dr Nicholas Figaro who treated my
husband patiently from the outset;
medicating which helped to some
degree, counselling and advising
us how to live daily to best deal
with this illness and lastly, when
the agony and discomfort inten-
sified and became intolerable,
recommending Functional Endo-
scopic Sinus Surgery.
Added to the list of several pa-
tients awaiting surgery, my hus-
band felt hope. On January 8, 2017
the surgery was successfully per-
formed. It was as if a new man was
born but as fate would have it, the
surgery had to be repeated. With
much needed patience, notwith-
standing bumps along the way,
with tenacity and dedication from
the ENT team, the second surgery
ended successfully on September
No words can ever express our
gratitude to Dr Nicholas Figaro, Dr
Juman, Dr Richards, Dr Koonoolal,
Dr Ramroop, Dr Ramoutar, Dr Ju-
rawan and all other ENT doctors
who assisted in any way.
The ENT nurses who manage
the clinic can never be forgotten
for their hard work. Nurse Ramsa-
roop, Nurse Britto, Nurse Khan
and all others. Their patience and
tolerance of people coming to their
clinic must be applauded. On any
given day the clinic would always
be full with the old and young in
pain, frustrated and just wanting
to be seen so they could get home.
On our numerous visits we were al-
ways greeted with smiles and will-
ingness to assist. Thank you for the
work that you do!
Not forgetting Miss Nicole Jai-
karan who takes care of all pa-
tients’ files and scheduling next
appointments. We appreciate you.
Checking into the Ophthalmol-
ogy Suite was always a good expe-
rience. Preparation for surgery was
the reason for the early admission.
The nursing staff here represent
love, hospitality and kindness. On
the day of the last surgery I sat and
waited patiently for the surgery to
be completed. Joyful tears came
when I saw him being wheeled into
his room. Hugging my sweetheart
never felt better.
Before and after care was given
with love and dedication by the
nursing staff. Nurse Huggins you
are a doll! Thank you, Nurse Aaron,
Nurse Payne, Nurse Francis, Nurse
Charles, Nurse Diego, Miss Can-
dice, Miss Sandra, Miss Marilyn
and all others.
Spending a considerable amount
of time at the hospital opens one’s
eyes to the challenges that doctors,
nurses and all staff are faced with.
Hats off to the dedicated staff at
the Eric Williams Medical Sciences
Complex for the work that you do.
Dr Nicholas Figaro, thank you
for all that you do. Thank you for
the person that you are. You are
unique and truly extraordinary.
Thank you for your patience,
kindness, understanding and your
dedication. You have always made
time for us even if you are leaving
the clinic you will spare those mo-
ments to hear what is wrong. We
appreciate everything you have
done. Thank you!
