University grads line up for city police jobs
There is a growing trend towards univer-
sity graduates and people with technical
qualifications applying to become munic-
ipal police officers.
Mark Moses The average officer in
the developed world has a degree. It’s a
good sign actually, higher qualified per-
sons will ultimately raise the proverbial
bar and this will be of benefit to society
at large eventually!
Leba Maria Benjamin I do hope that
if they succeed they will be the ones to

William Ganness It would be very in-
teresting if not informative if you told us
what degrees/disciplines these university
graduates come from? Young people are
often told “follow your dreams”, not go
and study something that is actually use-
ful. Society does not owe you a job, you

behaviour. People breeding children and
allowing them to go astray. Fatherless or
motherless homes. No love in homes.
Allowing kids to play violent games. Al-

Anthony Davis We are responsible
for high crime. What’s happening in
our homes, in our communities where
people can act reckless with no conse-
quences. It’s a social problem. We need
to blame outside forces a little less and
take responsibility for our actions a little
