Prison of icer Dav-

on Frederick Street,
Port-of-Spain, yesterday felt
so safe in his duties that he
told his family on numerous
occasions that should a riot
break out he will be protected

there are decent of icers in the

jumping to conclusions that it was
committed by instructions from
an inmate. It's being said that he
was a liked of icer, so could it be
that other prison of icers felt that
he was a threat?
Nerissa Dqueen Trust no one but
Andrew James The justice sys-
tem is obsolete because of its
roots that's in the European slave
masters house. So far no govern-
ment had and has the testicular
fortitude to change all so they
choose the consequences, they
gave them the television and keep

He had money to spend, and
could have used it to build a hos-

added salt to the wound by using

They are not citizens. Rubbish.

Do not judge yourself
or the outcome of
your destiny by the
place you may now
be seated, this is
only a step to your
destination, the inal chapter has
not yet been written.
Every one of us, if we are not
careful, can fall victim to this
reality whereby we look at our
present predicament and form
an opinion of where we may end
up. This is even worse when there
is nothing positive going for us at
this juncture of our lives.
I have heard many individuals
make the comment using their
background and past family fail-
ures which were illed with neg-
atives to arrive at the conclusion
that the future does not hold any-
thing positive for them. In humil-
ity I beg to differ, for once there is
breath, health and strength in you
the sky is the limit.
The Prophet Jeremiah stated, "I
know the plans I have for you, de-
clares the Lord, plans to prosper
and not to harm you, plans to give
you hope and a future." ( Jeremiah
29: 11 NIV).
God, through the Prophet Jer-
emiah, was sending a message to
Israel who was at the time in cap-
tivity, letting them know that in
spite of their present crisis there
is still hope. He went on further to
state His plans for their life; while
the king of Babylon had them
in captivity God had something
greater for them.
This promise of God which
was declared by Jeremiah is for
everyone. His plan for you is to
"prosper and not harm you, plans
of hope and a future". I will let
you know that "your best is yet
to come", do not allow the dark
shadows that are around you to
engulf and eradicate your hope.
Be encouraged that God's plan for
you will come to pass.
First of all, you must realise that
you are not alone, God is on your
side and He is your biggest fan.
While at times you may not have
or see the physical support that
you yearn for, the Creator of the
heaven and earth, He that spoke
the word and brought everything
into existence, has you covered. I
believe that this is the best safety
net that anyone can have.
Then you must do all that is
possible to bring about that which
you want to see come to pass in
your life. Being "the best you"
will also take some action on your
part, it is a partnership and would
require you to work together.
Keep your eyes on your prize!
I conclude by saying that pa-
tience is a virtue and some things
do take a longer time to come
into its fullness. Once you refuse
to quit, God will see that you have
the best in life.
Remember, "Your best is yet to
come." And it is not in the after-
life but as you journey on earth.
Much love to all.
