The T&T Police Service yesterday
revealed it had disrupted a threat
to disrupt Carnival activities mere
days before the festival.
Stephen Steve Ramdhani:
Disrupted? There may be more
involved that are not caught. The
threat may not be over.
Alana Adriann Offei: Hmm,
hope we have a safe carnival, no
bloodshed, no rape etc. Time to
Harry Ramharack: Enjoy your
carnival. The police have been
protecting the nation admirably
for the last year. Criminal activi-
ties do not have a religion. If noth-
ing was found what validates the
threat to disrupt the carnival?
Ruben Alijohn: Have good
time for carnival, people. l hope
everything passes nice and joy-
ful. I miss the carnival badly. I
hope the crime disappears so I
can come next year. Wow, sweet
Fazir Mohammed: Not the
real bona ide Muslims. Is them
radical Muslims that is causing the
Nila Mahase Maharaj: Well
boy, who feeling safe now?
Jennifer Smith: The TTPS re-
ally working hard to make carni-
val safe. Wish they did the same
to keep the entire population safe
every day of the year.
Alonzo Harris: I feel so safe
now. I feel safer than before,
knowing that a secret plot so se-
cret there is no evidence of the se-
cret plot. Let's be real and focus
on the murder rate.
Nerissa Dqueen: Thank you!
Harry Ramharack: Fake or
genuine, this release is enough to
impact on some spectators.
Tuco 12 hours to
Attorney Keith Beckles has
given the Trinbago Uni ied Ca-
lypsonian Organisation (Tuco) 12
hours to come with a plausible
reason why his client, calypso-
nian Duane O'Connor, was not
selected as a inalist in Sunday's
Calypso Monarch competition.
Natacha Georges: This non-
sense by artistes every year de-
manding to be entered into the
inals needs to stop!
Kareem Hollingsworth: Be-
cause it was not good.
Stephanie Fournillier Ed-
wards: What make him believe
he was sooo good, the best? Man,
humble yourself nah.
Alana Adriann Offei: Do yuh
thing Dwayne, it's your right.
Judy James: Simple...his ca-
lypso was ta ta.
Nerissa Dqueen: Humble
yourself nah man and take your
elimination with a smile. That's
what competition is all about!
Carol Mahadeo-Jobity: Sore
loser, you can't expect to win all
Tracie De Bourg: Ah wudda
put him in the inals and place
him last. Talk done!
Peter Herbert: TUCO has been
thereby they have the belief that
they are a law unto themselves.
It's every year at Carnival Calyp-
sonians take TUCO to the court
to get justice for many infringe-
ments, and in many instances
TUCO ends up losing their cases.
TUCO, must get their act together
otherwise they will spend all
their Government subventions on
Christy Victory: TUCO is a
complete mess; calypso has gone
to the dogs. Cro Cro ain't even
make. Karen going and cry down
the Savannah for the crown Sun-
day. Hope Chalkdust saves the
Nathalie Blake: Cro Cro song
was better than you and he was
not the judges' choice to sing in
the big yard and I could name
so many more calypsonians who
should have been picked. But
that's life---you win some and lose
some. Better luck next year.
of Big Bad Soca
Although the rain failed to put
a damper on Wednesday night's
Big Bad Soca fete featuring US
Grammy nominee Cardi B, the
drama behind the scenes led to
2018 Road March contender Pa-
trice Roberts and US-based Lyri-
kal boycotting the show.
Marisa Gonzales: It's always
some drama and escalation of
egos with Trinis when foreign
artistes come here. Everybody
wanna outshine somebody.....
learn to work together nah!
Steups! Then we wonder why
soca can't go beyond our shores!
All of this unprofessional behav-
iour contribute to it.
Maliah Alexander: This is how
we are treating our artistes? Pro-
moters tend to treat foreign acts
better than our own. Which is B
S Patrice was right to leave since
she obviously was not welcome
Tineil Nelson Pompey: Hats
off to Patrice, she did everything
possible with what was given to
her (which wasn't much at all.) It
was out of her control and had to
Barbie Ask Yuh Muda: U can't
treat people like that and still ex-
pect them to deliver.
Avaria St Martin Howe: Pro-
moters fault. Organisation is key.
No fault of the artistes, its the peo-
ple behind the artistes to do the
Mashala Morain: That's not
nice at all, Patrice deserves to be
treated with some more respect.
Amrikha D Singh: All animals
are equal but some are more
equal than others---George Orwell
Sheryll M Murray: Go Patrice.
You are a star and should be
treated as such. Promoters should
Ann Ramjohn: Again treating
their own people like crap over
foreigners. With Patrice 100%.
