Despite the inclement weather that affected cen-
tral, north and east of Trinidad yesterday after
midday, all the matches in the T&T Cricket Board
(T&TCB) Premiership Division I which started on
Saturday were completed yesterday.
Alescon Comets defeated Central Sports by 100
runs in their clash at Pierre Road, Chaguanas.
Comets finished its second innings on 173, set-
ting Central Sports a victory of 203 runs. The op-
position was bowled out for 102 in the run chase.
Imran Khan who collected four wickets in the
first innings was again the top bowler and with
four more scalps in the second innings.
At the Oval, Joshua DeSilva scored a century
to deny QPCC I an outright victory over QPCC II.
QPCC I batted first and scored 300 for nine de-
clared and then bowled out QPCC II for 136 in its
first innings. Left-arm spinner Khary Pierre was
the pick of the bowlers with six wickets for 38
runs, as he ran through the club’s second team
Sent to follow on, QPCC II gave a much better
account of themselves reaching 252 for five with
Joshua DeSilva helping himself to 116 runs.
