Toco ready to defend school honour
Defending champion Toco Secondary School
will be looking to retain the overall title at the
Secondary Schools Track and Field Champi-
onships which will be held at the Hasely Craw-
ford Stadium, Mucurapo from April 19-20.
Some 1,000 athletes from close to 90 public
and private secondary schools from the eight
educational district across the country are ex-
pected to compete in the two days of action
hosted by the T&T Secondary Schools Track
and Field Association (TTSSTFA).
The Championships are the culmination
of Secondary Schools track and field season.
Athletes earned the right to compete in the
Championships after completion of zonal
qualifiers which began in January.
Toco Secondary will face stiff competition
from the North East Educational District,
Bishops High of Tobago and fellow North East
school Sangre Grande Secondary.
