CENTRAL TENDERS BOARD
Tender for the Supply and Delivery of Mechanical Equipment to the
Port of Spain Corporation, Ministry of Local Government
Tenders are invited for the supply and delivery of Mechanical Equipment to the Port of Spain Corporation,
Ministry of Local Government as follows:-
Item 1 - Two (2) Dump Trucks
Item 2 - Seven (7) Compactor Trucks
Tender documents can be collected during normal working hours at the Central Tenders Board's Office, 116
Frederick Street, Port of Spain. Telephone No. 1-868-625-1868, Fax No. 1-868-625-1809.
Any technical information can be obtained during normal working hours from Mr. Ricardo Revanales, Works
Supervisor III, Port of Spain Corporation at telephone number 746-7623.
Tenders must be accompanied by valid:
(i) Income Tax and Value Added Tax Clearance Certificates issued by the Board of Inland
Revenue and dated not more than six (6) months prior to the closing date of the tender.
(a) Certificate of Compliance issued in accordance with the National Insurance Act.
Sealed tenders in DUPLICATE on approved Tender Form must be addressed to the Chairman, Central
Tenders Board, 116 Frederick Street, Port of Spain and clearly marked on the outside:
"Tender tor the Supply and Delivery of Mechanical Equipment to the
Port of Spain Corporation, Ministry of Local Government"
Envelopes must be deposited in the Brown Tenders Box located in the lobby of the Board's Office not later
than 1.00 pm on Thursday August 22, 2013.
Tenderers should note that the dimensions of the slot of the Tenders Box are 37.5 cm x 5.5 cm and as such
tenders should be packaged accordingly.
Tenders will be opened shortly thereafter. The tenderer or an authorised representative may be present at

T&T defender Joevin Jones will captain a 27-
man DirecTV W Connection squad which will
contest the 2013/2014 Concacaf Champions
League, beginning on Thursday with a clash again-
srt Arabe Unido of Panama.
The selection was made by head coach and tech-
nical director Stuart Charles Fevrier, who fell just
short of the alotted 30 players leaving room for
three additions as the competition progresses.
The Savonetta Boys will open its account agast
Arabe Unido on Thursday at the Rommel Fernandez
Stadium, Panama City.
Jones, who was one of the top players in T&T s
successful challenge of the Concacaf Gold Cup last
month leads a W Connection team which boasts
six new foreign signings including the likes of 24-
year-old former Italian youth international striker

dao Jr, 25-year-old midfielder Celio Duilherme Da

Junior national champion Avinash Anamalay is
expected to leave T&T for Ottawa, Canada, tomor-
row to compete in the Junior Duathlon World Cham-
pionship, set for Saturday, at 6.30 pm (T&T time).
Anamalay will be aiming to complete the 5km run,
20km ride and another 2.5km run in under an hour,
as he did at the national event.
Some of the 18-year-old s achievements include
the fastest time in his age group at the 2012 UWI
Half Marathon (1:21:32), a win in the Keep Fit (sprint
distance) in February, a top-10 overall finish and a
first placed finish at the TTARP 5km last year and
a first placed finish in his age group and a top-10
finish overall at the T&T International Marathon,
earlier this year. The club TriElite athlete is coached
by Ravi Maraj.
The T&T Triathlon Association (TTTA) has said
Anamalay is expected to place well in the standings.
He is expected to return on Monday.

While on tour, the team played sev-
eral training matches in its preparation
for the Champions League. Playing
against Club America, Connection was
defeated 2-0, before the team secured
a win 4-2 over FC Orsomarso. Ben-
jamin, Williams, Jerrel Brittlo and Silvio
were on target.
W Connection also won 5-0 win
over Deportivo Cordoba with goals by
the captain Jones, Da Silva, Benjamin,
Kurt Frederick and Andrei Pacheco.
In its final training match against FC
Florida, on Sunday, W Connection
was defeated 2-1 with the lone goal
scored by Mekeil Williams.
The team will fly directly from Cali,
Colombia to Panama, today.
