reggae concert of its kind to be held on
the island of Tobago. This event is pro-
moted by one of the most prominent
promotions on the island, BWV Enter-
The event was born out of the idea to in-
fuse the sweet melodies and sultry sound
of reggae music, with an atmosphere that
is scenic, calming, relaxed and provides a
sense of "get-away" that will truly capti-
vate and provide a world class experience.
The event will take place on August 24
on Pigeon Point beach, a venue that will
truly bring all the elements together to
make the event the biggest concert to cli-
max the summer.
Reggae On The Beach will feature for
the first time in Tobago, one of the
youngest and smoothest voices of reggae
out of Jamaica, Romain Virgo: Jamaica's
K Michelle shows love: K Michelle took some time off from promot-

Conference (AMMBCON) comes to an
The concfert, which will be held at
Zen, will feature Shurwayne Winchester,
Olatunji, Jahmelody, Fireball, Orange Sky,
Freetwon Collective, Mugal Patasar,
H20Phloand Ruth Osman, among oth-
ers. Also on the cast will be one interna-
tional act in the form of Sunday Best
singer Bethany Devine.
The concert will mark the end of three
days of workshops and lectures featur-
ing music executives, Grammy Award
winning producers and booking agents
from Europe, Denmark, Manchester,
Nashville, Philadephia, Washington,
Austin/Texas and New York.
Each night during the conference
there were showcases at Fiesta Plaza,
featuring Olatunji, Fireball, Jamelody and
Charlene Griffith of 2Intrigue and others.
AMMBCON is the brainchild of Ask
Promotions in collaboration with T&T's
Ministry of Trade, Industry and Invest-
ment, Ministry of Arts and Multicultural-
ism and the University of Trinidad and

are to deliver solutions for the Caribbean
music market, to foster discussion re:
the challenges facing the music industry
in the digital era, and to formulate ideas
for the creation and distribution of local
music and other creative works.
According to Ask promotions principal
Stephen Howard, "The goal is singular:
to foster creativity and build a thriving
music industry, through offering creators,
academics, and industry professionals the
opportunity to voice their opinions and
concerns about the future, and by offer-
ing the global population the opportunity
for involvement and education".

Boyz Foundation. The event will be accen-
tuated and fused with some of Tobago's
top artistes such as Gardah Knight and
provides a platform, for upcoming local
reggae artistes to showcase their talents.
