TENDER FOR CONSTRUCTION/REHABILITATION WORKS FOR THE
PORT OF SPAIN CORPORATION
In accordance with the Central Tenders Board Ordinance Regulation 12/22 (a) and legal notice no. 234 as amended which falls under the special Ministerial Tenders
Committee' limit. Tenders are invited for works under the Development Programme 2012/2013 for the Port of Spain Corporation as follows:-
(a) Block 1 - Rehabilitation works to footpath, kerbwall and slipper drain at Independence Square North, Frederick, Chacon and Queen Streets.
(b) Block 4 - Rehabilitation works to footpath, kerbwall and slipper drain at Independence Square, Abercromby, Queen and Chacon Streets.
(c) Block 11 - Rehabilitation works to footpath, kerbwall and slipper drain at Hart, Abercromby, Knox and St. Vincent Streets.
(d) Block 13 - Rehabilitation works to footpath, kerbwall and slipper drain at Charlotte, Queen, Henry and Prince Streets.
(e) Block 17 - Rehabilitation works to footpath, kerbwall and slipper drain at Independence Square, Frederick, Henry and Queen Streets.
(f) Scarifying and paving works at the Lapeyrouse Cemetery
Tender documents can be obtained during working hours from Mr. Neil Mohammed, Tenders Clerk, at the City Administration Department, 1st Floor, Port of Spain
Corporation 2-4 Knox Street, Port of Spain, telephone 623-1121 extension 210. Tenderers are required to pay the Cashier, Port of Spain Corporation a tender deposit of
TT$300.00 for each project. Payments can be made at the Cashier's unit during the hours of 8:00 am to 2:30 pm.
Separate contracts will be awarded for each project. Any further technical information can be obtained during normal working hours from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm from Mr.

A pre-tender meeting followed by a site visits is carded for 10:00 am on Monday August 19, 2013 at the City Engineer's Office, 2nd floor, City Engineer's Department, Port of
Spain Corporation, 2-4 Knox Street, Port of Spain.
Tenders must be accompanied by:-
1. Valid Income Tax and Value Added Tax Clearance Certificates issued by the Board of
Inland Revenue and dated not more than six (6) months prior
to the closing date of tender.
2. A Valid Certificate of Compliance issued in accordance with the National Insurance Act.
The original and one copy of the tender must be placed in a sealed envelope and addressed to the Chief Executive Officer, Port of Spain Corporation, 2-4 Knox Street, Port of
Spain and clearly marked on the outside.

Envelope must be deposited in the Red Tenders Box located on the 1st floor, City Administration Department, Port of Spain Corporation, 204 Knox Street, Port of Spain, not
later than 10:00 am on September 23, 2013.
Tenders will be opened thereafter. The Tenderer or his authorized representative may be present at the opening. Tenderers should note the dimensions of the slot or the ten-
der box are 3 cm x 17.5 cm and tenders should be packaged accordingly.
Late Tenders will not be considered under any circumstances.
The Special Ministerial Tenders Committee does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any other offer and reserves the right to cancel the bidding process in its entirety or
partially, without defraying any cost incurred by any firm submitting their tender.
