In loving memory of
Sunrise: 15 July, 1990
Sunset: 16 September, 2013
Jason never said that he was
leaving, Jason never said
Jason were gone before we
knew it, a million times we
A million times we cried;
If tears alone could have
Jason would have never died.
In life we loved you dearly
In death we still; in our
hearts you hold a place that
only you can fill.
Forever in our hearts.
Lovingly remembered by
brother, sister and friends.
MILAN---Fiorentina was held to a 1-
1 draw at home yesterday after a late
Cagliari equaliser ended its perfect
start to the Serie A season.
Vincenzo Montella s team dominated
but failed to make the most of its
opportunities. It eventually took the
lead in the 71st minute when Giuseppe
Rossi nodded Alberto Aquilani s cross
on for Borja Valero to head home.
Fiorentina looked set to clinch a
third straight victory but Mauricio
Pinilla headed Victor Ibarbo s cross in
off the inside of the post in the final
Matters grew worse for Fiorentina
when David Pizarro was sent off in
stoppage time for a comment he made
to the referee.
Fiorentina also had star players
Mario Gomez and Juan Cuadrado
forced off with injuries. Gomez, who
was signed from Bayern Munich in
the offseason, has sprained his knee
with ligament damage and could be
out for two to three months.
Fiorentina is two points behind
Napoli, which still has a perfect record
after a 2-0 victory over Atalanta on
Saturday. Roma could join last year s
runner up at the top of the standings
if it wins at Parma later.
In the afternoon matches, a clinical
Lazio cruised to a 3-0 victory over
Chievo Verona, with all its goals com-
ing in the first half.
Antonio Candreva got the home side
off to the perfect start when his effort
was deflected past Chievo goalkeeper
Christian Puggioni in the eighth minute
following a counter.
Lazio doubled its lead against the
run of play in the 38th minute. Puggioni
flapped at Cristian Ledesma s cross and
Luis Pedro Cavanda volleyed it in from

Lorient offered little in attack all
match. Sadio Diallo thought he had
equalized in the 26th minute, but his
effort was ruled out for offside.
Monaco moved back to top spot, a
point ahead of Saint-Etienne. It has
won four of its opening five matches.
The principality club and defending
champion Paris Saint-Germain---which
is two points behind Monaco---are the
only unbeaten sides in Ligue 1.
Elsewhere, Lille slipped to its first
home defeat since March as it lost 2-
0 against Nice.
The visitors scored with their first
chance of the match, in the 20th
minute, when Christian Bruls back-
heeled Gregoire Puel s cross on for Dario
Cvitanich to drill into the right corner.
Cvitanich doubled his and his team s
tally on the stroke of halftime. Lille lost
the ball and Bruls set off on a counter
attack, down the right flank before pick-
ing out Cvitanich, who drove an angled
shot into the opposite corner.
Lille almost got straight back into
the game after the break but Nice goal-
keeper David Ospina pulled off a double
save to deny Franck Beria and Ronny
Rodelin before Salomon Kalou saw an
effort crash off the right post.
Groningen 4-2 yesterday to move to
third in the Dutch Eredivisie, level
on points with Ajax, which beat PEC
Zwolle 2-1 a day earlier.
Ajax rested key players ahead of
the team s midweek Champions
League clash with Barcelona and could
not break the deadlock until captain
Siem de Jong and Bojan Krkic came
on after 63 minutes.
South African midfielder Thulani
Serero gave Ajax the lead 10 minutes
later and Zwolle defender Maikel van
der Werff doubled his team s deficit
with a 76th-minute own goal. Gio-
vanni Gravenbeek scored a late con-
solation goal for Zwolle, which
