REPUBLIC OF TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO
THE LAND ACQUISITION ACT, CHAP. 58:01
MADE BY THE PRESIDENT UNDER SECTION 4(1) OF THE
LAND ACQUISITION ACT
1. This Order may be cited as the Land Acquisition
(Possession of Land Prior to Formal Vesting in the
State) (No. 57) Order, 2013.
2. The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works and
Infrastructure is authorised to take possession of
the parcel of land comprising 30 square metres
more or less, situate at Bridge B 1/9, Old Talparo
Road, in the Ward of San Rafael, in the County of
St. George and said to belong now or formerly to the
Estate of Stella Kelly and described in the
Notification in the Trinidad and Tobago Gazette,
Legal Supplement Part B, Volume 52, No. 37, dated
18th March, 2013, as Legal Notice No. 48 of 2013,
before the formal vesting of the land in the State,
and to apply it to the purpose for which it is intended
to be put on acquisition.
3. Further particulars of the location and description
of the land may be obtained from the Office of the
Director of Surveys, 118, Frederick Street,

be published and served in the manner set out in section 3(l) and
(2) respectively, of the Act.
MADRID---Atletico Madrid took full advantage of
Barcelona's rare slip-up as it pummeled Real
Sociedad 4-0 yesterday to take sole possession of
the lead in the Spanish league for the first time this
David Villa, Diego Costa, Miranda, and the newly
arrived Diego scored the goals that put Atletico three
points clear at the top of the standings, having shared
the lead with Barcelona for much of the campaign.
Atletico honoured former player and coach Luis
Aragones before the match and fed off the emotion
at the Vicente Calderon Stadium to boost its attempt
to break the Barcelona-Madrid monopoly with a first
championship since 1996.
Barcelona lost 3-2 to Valencia on Saturday, and
Atletico did not waste the opportunity to go top by
Diego Costa was lively from the start, and the
Brazilian-born Spain striker fed Villa inside the box
in the 38th minute to finish off a quick break by
scoring the opener.
Villa sustained a leg injury moments later and had
to be replaced by Raul Garcia.
With the home fans chanting Aragones' name
throughout, Atletico came alive in the second half
as Garcia found Diego Costa racing free between
defenders in the 72nd and the forward beat goalkeeper
Claudio Bravo with a right-footed shot for his 20th
league goal of the season.
Two minutes later, Miranda headed home a corner
kick out of Bravo's reach for 3-0 before Diego, who
had come on in the 58th, marked his return to Atletico
by dribbling into the box to unleash a rising shot
into goal with three minutes remaining.

GLASGOW---Goalkeeper Fraser Forster broke Celtic's
92-year-old clean-sheet record by going an 11th game
without conceding as the Scottish champion beat
St. Mirren 1-0 yesterday.
Kris Commons scored after just five minutes with
a fierce shot from 25 yards, and the victory was preserved
by Forster's saves.
The England World Cup-squad hopeful surpassed
the Celtic clean-sheet record set by Charlie Shaw in
1913-14 and again in 1921-22.
Celtic is 21 points clear at the top of the standings.
Also yesterday, Inverness reached the League Cup final
by beating Hearts 4-2 in a penalty shootout after the
game ended 2-2. In next month's final, Inverness will
play Aberdeen, which beat St. Johnstone 4-0 on Sat-
MADRID---Players past and present paid their
respects to Luis Aragones yesterday at the funeral
of the former Spain coach in Madrid.
Barcelona players Xavi Hernandez, Andres Iniesta,
Cesc Fabregas and Carles Puyol --- who played under
Aragones when Spain won the 2008 European Cham-
pionship---all visited La Paz cemetery for yesterday's
funeral, a day after Aragones died after a battle with
leukaemia. He was 75.
Among those in attendance were former Atletico
Madrid teammates Adelardo Rodriguez, Miguel Reina
and Miguel San Roman, as well as former players
Pedja Mijatovic, Fernando Hierro and Andoni
All Spanish league games are holding one minute's
silence in honour of Aragones this weekend, with
Atletico remembering its former player and coach
before its match against Real Sociedad.

two seasons ago, joined on loan from Wolfsburg on
Atletico leads with 57 points, Barcelona has 54
points, and Madrid has 53.
Earlier Sunday, Cristian Herrera's second-half goal
gave Elche a 1-0 victory against Almeria to lift the
club above its relegation adversary, while Ruben
Castro scored two goals as last-placed Real Betis
beat Espanyol 2-0 to end a four-game losing streak.
