FRANKFURT, Germany---Borussia Dortmund
stunned new and old champion Bayern
Munich 3-0 in the Bundesliga yesterday to
remain alone in second place.
It was Bayern s biggest loss under coach
Henrikh Mkhitaryan scored in the 20th and
Marco Reus and Jonas Hofmann added goals
after the break as Bayern lost its second straight
game in the Bundesliga without scoring a
goal. Bayern is winless since clinching the
title with a record seven matches to play.
Rafinha was sent off in injury time for grab-
bing the face of Mkhitaryan and Bayern and
Germany goalkeeper Manuel Neuer did not
return for the second half with a calf injury.
He was replaced by Lukas Raeder, who made
his Bundesliga debut.
Mkhitaryan scored after being found by
Reus in the box. Reus was set up by Pierre-
Emerick Aubameyang and Hofmann collected
a long pass to bury the shot past the helpless
Bayern was coming off a 3-1 win over Man-
chester United for a place in the semifinals
in the Champions League, while Dortmund

Freiburg and Hannover are four points ahead
of Stuttgart, which is one point ahead of
Hamburg is one point ahead of Nuremberg
and two points ahead of Braunschweig.

... Villarreal stuns Levante
in injury time 1-0
Villarreal striker Jeremy Perbet headed in
a free kick five minutes into stoppage time to
snatch a 1-0 win over Levante in the Spanish
league. The otherwise dull match appeared
destined to end scoreless until a late foul
earned by Javier Aquino on the right side of
the area let Manuel Trigueros find Perbet
unmarked at the near post.
Villarreal s first win at El Madrigal in six
straight games lifted it into sixth place, one
point ahead of Real Sociedad after it allowed

Sassuolo picked up a vital point in its fight against
relegation as it drew 1-1 at home to fellow struggler
Cagliari in Serie A.
Cagliari had a new coach after Ivo Pulga replaced
the sacked Diego Lopez but Sassuolo was full of con-
fidence after last week s surprise win at in-form Atalanta,
and took the lead nine minutes from halftime.
Simone Zaza escaped Cagliari defender Davide Astori
to run onto Nicola Sansone s through ball and fire in
under the crossbar. Cagliari levelled when Luca Antei
tripped Víctor Ibarbo in the opening minute of the
second half and Agim Ibraimi converted the resulting
penalty. Antonio Floro Flores and Sansone both sent
attempts narrowly wide for Sassuolo.
Sassuolo moved provisionally level on points with
Livorno in the bottom three, two points off safety. It
remained eight points behind Cagliari.
... Lille takes care of Valenciennes
Lille beat Valenciennes 1-0 in the French league to
put pressure on Monaco in the race for second place.
Divock Origi took a pass from Salomon Kalou to
score with a low strike in the 70th minute.
Lille pulled within three points of Monaco. Paris
Saint-Germain tops the league with a 13-point lead
"It wasn t easy but the most important thing is to
take the three points," Lille coach Rene Girard told Canal
Plus television. "It seemed to me that we missed a bit
of gas in the tank, a bit of freshness. But the boys man-
aged to do what they needed to do."
Lille dominated the first half but failed to convert
chances into a goal. Djibril Sidibe was denied by Valen-
ciennes goalkeeper Magno Novaes in the 13th and
Salomon Kalou struck the post in the 18th.
Novaes then tipped a long-range strike from Sidibe
over the bar in the 47th but could not save Origi s effort
that took a deflection off Valenciennes defender Carl
