GENERAL MANAGER HUMAN RESOURCES
DIVISION: HUMAN RESOURCES DIVISION
REPORTS TO: MANAGING DIRECTOR
The General Manager, Human Resources develops and implements HR strategies, policies and programmes to
support the business needs of the Corporation. The General Manager, Human Resources also promotes and fosters
a harmonious and collaborative work environment through the implementation of Human Resource Management
and Industrial Relations best practices.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directs and leads the TTPost Human Resource Team in the execution and achievement of the Division’s
operational goals, objectives and targets as outlined in the Operational Plan
Participates and actively contributes to the leadership and strategic direction of TTPost as a member of the
Senior Management Team
Ensures that the key processes of Recruitment and Selection, Performance Management, Succession Planning,
Manpower Planning and Training and Development are fully operational and aligned to the Corporation’s
medium and long-term Human Resource needs
Establishes a positive Industrial Relations climate that is proactive and follows the best practices and directs
the collective bargaining process
Ensures that all jobs are evaluated using a standard methodology to create a well-defined grading structure and
that all new and revised jobs are subsequently assessed and graded
Ensures the implementation and maintenance of a robust Performance Management System that identifies
employee potential and training needs at all levels throughout the Corporation
Oversees compensation and benefit reviews and ensures that pay scales are linked to job grades for equitable
treatment of employees across the Corporation
Ensures that the Human Resource Division is properly resourced to achieve its strategic and operational goals
and that the requisite employee performance review, training, development and succession plans are aligned
Ensures that the Employee Assistance Programme is properly administered
Communicates TTPost’s vision, goals and targets to Human Resource employees, ensuring that Managers
operationalize plans into practical performance metrics by department and/or at the individual level
Monitors, reviews and controls the Division’s costs, keeping expenditure within budget
Develops and implements TTPost’s Human Resource Policies
Promotes and fosters a harmonious and collaborative work culture throughout the Corporation
Supervises assigned workforce, monitoring, appraising, motivating and disciplining as required
Monitors and ensures adherence to health, safety and environmental rules, regulations and guidelines
Performs other related duties that may be required by the job function
Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management
A minimum of seven (7) years experience in a Human Resource Management environment of which 4 (four)
years must be at a managerial level.
Experience working in a unionized environment in a large organization.

Create an Emergency Plan:
I Meet with household members to discuss how to respond to each disas-
ter that could occur.
I Draw a floor plan of your home. Mark two escape routes from each room.
I Practise an emergency evacuation drill at least two times a year.
I Pick one out-of-the-area-relative and one local friend or relative for fami-
ly members to call or meet at if separated by a disaster.

I Take a basic First Aid course and CPR class.
I Make a list of valuables. Keep family records in a waterproof and fire-
I Prepare a disaster supply list:
- Plastic sheeting and duct tape
- Canned goods, non-perishable foods and a non-electric can open-
- Drinking water
- Any special dietary food if required
- Identification, cash, valuable papers, insurance policies and pho-
- Battery-operated radio with extra batteries
- Personal hygiene items
- Disposable utensils
- Infant-care items
- Flashlight and extra batteries
- Easy carrying container (bag) for all items.
Prepare a First Aid kit:
I Prescription medications, betadine solution, gauze bandages, adhesive
tape, sterile pads, band aids, triangular bandages, safety scissors, non-
prescription medication, sun screen, insect repellent, non-latex gloves,
absorbent compress 5x9 dressing, adhesive bandages (assorted sizes),
antiseptic wipes, antibiotic ointment packets, etc.
Prepare an Emergency Car Kit:
I Battery powered radio (with extra batteries), flashlight (with extra bat-
teries), sleeping bags or blankets, first-aid kit and manual, bottled water,
non-perishable high energy foods such as granola bars, raisins and
peanut butter, booster cables, a fire extinguisher, maps, shovel, tyre
repair kit and pump and flares.
