Grammy Award-winning singer-
songwriter and gay rights activist
Melissa Etheridge has gotten married.
People magazine says the 53-year-
old Etheridge married partner Linda
Wallem at the San Ysidro Ranch in
Montecito, California, on Saturday.
Etheridge and the 53-year-old
Wallem, a co-creator of the television
series Nurse Jackie, began dating in
2010. They announced their engage-
ment following the Supreme Court's
decision on gay rights.
Besides the singer's four children,
