Public Tender for Design Build Services for Upgrade Works at the
Toco Health Centre.
1. Tenders are invited for Design Build Services for Upgrade Works at the Toco Health Centre.
2. Tender documents can be perused at the Central Purchasing Unit, De Freitas Building, Eastern Main Road, Sangre
Grande, and can be subsequently purchased for a non-refundable fee of $500.00, Monday to Friday between the

Thursday, June 12th, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. and Bidders are asked to assemble in front of the
Toco Health Facility for this time. For further information regarding the site visit please contact the

6. One (1) original and six (6) copies of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted in sealed envelopes and addressed to:

Tenderers are asked to note that the dimensions of the SLOT in the tenders box are approximately 5 ins x 16 ins.

8. Tenders will be opened publicly on the same day: Tuesday, July 01st, 2014 at 1:00 p.m.

9. LATE tenders will not be considered under any circumstances.
10. The Tenders Committee does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any Tender.

The executive of the North Zone Basketball
Commission of the National Basketball Feder-
ation (NBFTT) is reminding all team coaches,
managers, captains and team representatives
to attend the Zones Third General Council
meeting tomorrow (Wednesday) at the AV
Room of the Hasely Crawford Stadium, Mucu-
rapo from 6.00 pm.
Teams that do not attend this meeting will
not be considered for participation in the Zone
2014 season which is set for July 5. The executive
is urging all teams to be represented.

congratulations to the newly elected president of
FIBA Americas during the FIBA Congress held in
Puerto Rico, last weekend. Barbadian Glyne Clarke
was appointed interim President of Caribbean
Basketball Confederation (CBC) to replace Richards.

Mainini and Patrick Baumann FIBA Secretary
The National Basketball Federation of
Trinidad and Tobago (NBFTT) Level 1
coaching course moves from Sangre
Grande to Maloney from this afternoon
(Tuesday) from 5 pm at the maloney
Indoor Sports Complex. The Course is free
to all participants.
The course is the follow-up of a mandate
from FIBA, (Federation of International Bas-
ketball Federations), the world governing
body for the sport, that all participants which
comprises coaches and all match officials
(referees and table officials) must be trained,
examined and tested to participate in a FIBA
approved event, the NBFTT, has partnered
with the SPORTT (the Sport Company of
T&T) to conduct a Level 1 course for bas-
The NBFTT through its technical and
training and organisation and development
committees are calling on all coaches through
all managers and zonal chairpersons in their
respectivev zones. Also, aspiring coaches and
Sportt camp coaches are asked to make every
effort to attend.
The course programme is being offered
on weeknights and weekends during the
month of June. The purpose of these courses
is to give every coach and aspiring coaches
an opportunity to be qualified and certified
in order to coach the basketball locally and
in the SPORTT Programme.
Persons also need at least a Level 1 cer-
tificate to coach basketball at the entry level
and at schools in Trinidad and Tobago.
The programme is made possible through
a Scholarship funded by the SPORTT Com-
pany. Courses are being offered in every zone
(East, North, South, Central and Tobago).

NBFTT Level 1 coaching course goes to Maloney
Zone (Woodbrook Youth Facility) June 24-27; South-
west Zone (Point Fortin Indoor) June 28 to 30; and
South Zone (Pleasantville Indoor) July 4 to 6, 2014.
All persons who are interested in being a basketball
coach in Trinidad and Tobago are required to attain
at least a Level 1 NBFTT Certificate of approval and
everyone is asked to take note of the dates and venues
when the programme will be offered.
