The grieving mother of one of
the country s latest murder vic-
tims yesterday pleaded with any-
one who may have witnessed the
incident to come forward and
identify her son s killers.
Patricia Andrews made the
appeal yesterday as she grieved
over the loss of her son Keith Flem-
Flemming, 22, of Ethel Street,
La Romaine, was gunned down
outside a Housing Development
Corporation (HDC) apartment
building, Ste Madeleine, on Sunday
"I am begging for people to come
forward and say what they see,"
Andrews said between tears yes-
terday during an interview with
the T&T Guardian.
"My son did not deserve to die
like that. It is not like he was a
pest. You know it have some pests
in society, he was not like that. He
was a lovable person, a friendly
Police said Flemming was stand-
ing outside Building 5, Alexandra
Lane, Corinth Hills, when three
men approached him around 9.50
pm. Two of the men started shoot-
ing at him, hitting him several
times. The men then escaped.
People living nearby contacted
Southern Division Police and police,
led by Senior Supt Cecil Santana,
visited the scene.

She said she wanted justice for
her son because he was a good boy
and was working towards building
his own home in Oropouche.
Andrews said she believed her
son's murder was a case of mis-
taken identity because she was told
that the gunmen went in search of
a man wearing a white T-shirt and
her son was wearing one, as was
another man he was talking to at
"It was wrong place at the wrong
time because I hear (one of) my
son saying that the fella he went
by had on a white jersey. They were
wearing white jerseys. He was in
the wrong place," she said.
Andrews said the last time she
saw her son alive was Sunday when
they attended church together. She
said he was looking forward to his
baptism, which was planned for
"I was never expecting anything
like that. He was supposed to be
baptised next Sunday. He was leav-
ing home and going to church and
even reaching before me. That had
me feeling good," she said.
In 2010, the mother of nine lost
another son, Sherwin Andres, to
violence. He was chopped to death
when bandits stormed his La
Romaine home pretending to be
police. She said since then she had
been awaiting justice and hopes
that with the murder of her
youngest son she could receive
some closure this time around.
"It hard, really hard. I think they
(police) lapsing. They should do
something," Adams said of having
lost two sons.
She added that Flemming never
wanted any children as he suffered
from sickle cell anemia.
