The National Energy Skills Center (NESC) is a leading national provider of skills training. The NESC, incorporated in 1997, is an established partnership between Industry and the Government of Trinidad and Tobago
to provide high quality training to meet the growing needs of the industry.
The National Energy Skills Center is resourcing its various training and support functions to allow for a more e ective and e cient delivery of an expanding range
of skills training programmes and competency development initiatives. In order to meet its immediate requirements, as well as develop a database of persons
who may be considered for future opportunities, applications are hereby invited from interested persons for the following positions:
The incumbent will provide general leadership to ensure the successful execution of NESC's training function, and will be required to lead a team
of Campus Managers, Heads of Departments and other o cers of the NESC.
HEADS OF DEPARTMENT
The incumbent is a Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing leadership in training, the promotion of continuous performance improvement, and
quality enhancement of learning, teaching and knowledge transfer. The HOD develops the teaching activities and capabilities within the assigned
programme group, ensuring relevance based on current practices and future trends, and serves as a champion for the assigned programmes.
The incumbent will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Campus' operations in accordance with established process and performance
standards, allowing for the delivery of quality and cost e ective vocational training for students, communities and industry partners.
DRILLING ACADEMY INSTRUCTORS
To instruct students in all areas of Drilling Rig Operations inclusive of but not limited to the Driller's Level according to a modern, established drilling
industry BOK and the established Drilling Academy programme objectives.
To instruct students in all areas of the relevant training programme in accordance with the programme objectives.
Minimum of a recognised Certi cate/Technician's Diploma in the respective eld; working knowledge of modern industry techniques; minimum three (3) years
experience. Previous instructional experience considered an asset.
Pro ciency and certi cation in Microsoft Productivity Tools, Networking, Database Administration and Report Writing. Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in an
information technology or related eld OR relevant professional quali cation (MCITP, MCTS, CCNA) AND two (2) years related experience; ability to install and
troubleshoot Microsoft Operating systems and Windows networks in a domain and in workgroup environments. Ability to program in Visual Basic or C++
considered a strong asset.

social, personal and educational issues, and facilitate industry placement activities.
Completed ACCA with at least 3 -
4 years experience in this position
Sound understanding of management
and financial accounting
Ability to advise in financial matters
Min Diploma in Human Resource
Mgt plus 5 years experience
Excellent communication skills
Good interpersonal/teamwork and
Some knowledge of the maritime
sector would be an asset
